Anastasia POV
The next day,I went to office a bit early.I decided to meet Mr.Knight.I went to his floor and knocked on his door.
"Come." He said.
"Hi...daddy." I said.
"Hey baby girl." He said and turned his attention back to the laptop.I walked towards him and placed a kiss on his cheek.
"I missed you." I said.
"Hmm..." He said without making any eye contact.He was silent when he spoke all of a sudden,"Don't you have work?" He asked.
"Yes,I do." I replied.
"Then why are you wasting your time here?" He narrowed his eyes at me.
"I just wanted to meet you." I whispered.
"Look, Anastasia.Just because I am paying for you doesn't mean you won't work properly.I will still cut your salary if you do such activities again." He said in a strict tone.
"But I work properly every day." I argued and frowned.
"I don't see that coming off of you." He replied rudely.Seeing that I was silent,he faked a smile at me and placed a hand on my thigh.
"Go and work." He said.
"Will you really cut my salary?" I asked sadly,almost about to cry.
"No baby girl but promise me that you will work efficiently." He stood up and kissed my cheek.
"Okay.I will." I smiled and hugged him.Then,I walked out of his office and took the elevator to my floor.
As I walked of the elevator,I saw that Tim was talking with a hot girl.She had a fair skin but not as white as me but she definitely was prettier than I was.She had brunette hair and a perfect curvy body.
I tried to ignore her and walk towards my office until Tim called my name.I turned around at them.
"Hey,Snow! Meet Scarlett Blood.She is new and her office is right next to yours!" He said excitedly.
"Hi.'' She said and forward her hand.I shook her hand and said,"Nice to meet you,Snow."
"Please call me Anastasia." I said smilingly even though her voice was causing too much irritation in my ear.
After chatting with her for a while,I decided to get a coffee.I stood in the corner and drank my coffee.
The elevator door opened and I saw Mr.Knight.A smile crept up my lips automatically when I saw him but I was more disappointed when he looked at me and tore his gaze apart.He seemed pretty infuriated but I couldn't figure out why.His eyes spotted Scarlett taking pictures on the other corner.He moved towards her and stood in front of her.
They both were talking and it seemed like a pretty heated up conversation.
Mr.Knight was looking very angry but Scarlett was wearing a pretty smirk on her irritating face.
The question was did they know each other?
The next move she made was completely unexpected and heartbreaking for me.
She moved her hand towards Mr.Knight's crotch and she squeezed his dick.He held her hand and they took the elevator to his floor.
I gasped upon seeing that and I choked on my coffee.
Angry and heartbroken,I rushed back to my office.He did know her and he knew her very well.
I hated how he always hurt me in some way.
The rest of the day passed by in such remorse but I couldn't get my mind off what I just saw this morning.I took a very stupid decision and walked out of my room.I barged into Scarlett's office room and stood in front of her.
"You can't do this to him.He is our boss!" I tried to stay as calm as I could.
"Mind your own business." She said rudely.
"Well,I just came here to warn you because it's your loss after all.Why should I care?" I yelled and walked out of her office.
I hopped into my car and rode back home.The first moment,I saw her,I knew something was definitely fishy with her and I need to find out about them very soon.
Even though,I found myself crying in my bed alone that night and I still was unsure of the reason.He told me I was special to him.
The next day.
I worked silently.I wasn't interested in making relationship with a cheap person like him.
I worked a bit late that day.It was 8 pm.I was preparing to leave when a knock was placed on my door."Yes,come in." I replied.It was Mr.Knight's assistant,Perry.
"Ms.Snow,Mr.Knight has asked for your presence." She said.I nodded and followed her silently.If he called me to tell me that what I saw was a complete misunderstanding,then I won't buy it but deep down I hoped that it was really a misunderstanding.
I knocked on his door.
"Come." His deep voice sent shivers down my spine.
I opened the door and saw that he wasn't Scarlett Blood was with him.
As I walked inside the room he stood up and looked at me with infuriated eyes.In no time,he slapped me so hard that I fell to the ground.I touched my cheek and looked at him as tears crawled down.
He grabbed my collar and pulled me up before placing a slap again.I screamed in pain.
"You talked with her rudely,huh?" He said and placed a slap again.
"APOLOGIZE!" He yelled.
"No... please!" I yelled as he slapped me again.A huge amount of blood gushed out of my lips.
He grabbed my hair aggressively and slapped me again,bruising my face.
"Apologize to her right now!" He slapped me again.
"No." I whispered.
"Apologize!" He yelled again.
"I am sorry, Scarlett!" I said.
"Talk with her that way again and you will see the worst of me!" He yelled like a demon.
I ran out of his office and went home immediately.My face was bruised and I was heartbroken once again.He hit me so badly just for that newbie? Was it because she was prettier than me or was she more special than I was.
What if I wasn't special to him anymore?
