Luca's POV ....F.L.A.S.H.B.A.C.K... You'd think it would get colder, at night time, but it didn't. As much as we tried it was impossible to escape the heat. The sun was bad, the way it shone down on your neck mercilessly day in day out burning it to red layers of raw skin and blisters. Oh how it made me kick myself for all the days in my life that it had rained and I had longed for sun. How I longed for rain now. Yes, the sun was bad but the humidity, that was ten times worse. Every single time I took a breathe it felt like a mouthful of hot ash. The air was not pure, it was not fresh. It was just hot, sticky and filled with particulates and other pollutants. When I first joined the army I thought about all the things I might miss the most. Choosing decent food to eat everyday,
