Chapter 7We went to work just like it was any other day. Didn’t seem natural, but that’s the way it was. I went to lumberjacking, sweating out last night’s alcohol and making up for last week. Part of hustling so hard was so I didn’t think about me not being man enough to face up to Daniel. I was dreading the end of the shift and looking forward to it too. We’d talk about it then, for sure. But we didn’t. We never said a word about what happened. We ate and jawed about work and cleaned up and watched TV, but we didn’t say nothing about last night.
