"I agree."
The three years Wendy had spent in prison were miserable and extremely painful. If she were to return to that nightmare of a place again, she was certain she would die in less than a year.
Hence, she had to leave that place no matter what, even if the outside world was full of unforeseeable danger, it was better than dying silently in that dark place.
"Great. I will arrange for you to get the marriage certificate tomorrow, are you okay with that?"
Wendy was surprised by how much in a hurry the old man was. However, she did not care about things like that. "Of course, anything you say," Wendy said.
Seeing her cooperation, Luther Swift nodded and went back to the study, where Felix's mother, Jane Greer, was already waiting.
Seeing Luther, Jane was both anxious and helpless. "Dad, do you really want that kind of woman to marry Felix?"
Luther nodded firmly. "It's settled."
"But, how can Felix marry that kind of woman? Even if he is unconscious, it is not difficult to marry a girl from a clean family background. This woman is the exact reason why Felix is in this state right now, plus, she's been to prison. How is she worthy?"
"It's all settled, besides... a woman like her is easy to control. If she's really useless, just chase her out."
After finishing speaking, Luther sent Jane away and looked at the family portrait. Seeing how energetic Felix was in it, Luther sighed.
Felix had been in a coma for three years after the car accident. His body had already recovered, but he just did not wake up. The Swift family had sought many famous doctors both locally and abroad, but none could wake Felix up.
Not long ago, a fortune-teller said that finding a woman with the right horoscope for Felix might have an effect, and the woman whose horoscope corresponded was Wendy.
Wendy was arranged to go to another room. A set of clean clothes was already placed on the bed. She walked over and stroked the fine fabric, feeling desolate in her heart.
It had been a long time since she had worn such clean clothes without holes.
After taking a shower and changing into clean clothes, Wendy stood in front of the mirror and looked at herself.
The woman in the mirror was only twenty-one years old, an age when girls should be blooming like a flower, but her eyes had long since lost the innocent hope that someone of her age should have. There was only the vicissitudes and hatred that could not be washed away.
Three years of prison life had completely changed her.
Wendy did not sleep well that night. Although the place was clean and warm, the scenes that happened in the past engulfed her in her dreams. It was suffocating.
On her eighteenth birthday, her father gave her a car and a set of expensive clothes that she had always wanted. Wendy was coaxed to put on the clothes and drive around but was taken directly to the police station by the police.
At the police station, Wendy learned that the car she drove had maliciously hit someone and escaped a few days ago, and the woman in the surveillance was wearing exactly the same clothes as the one she had received.
Her eighteenth birthday gift was a ten-year prison sentence...
Wendy frowned and struggled in the nightmare, it was the servant's knock on the door that woke her up.
"Miss Wilson, it's time for you to learn how to take care of Mr. Swift."
Wendy quickly washed up and followed the servant. The Swift family brought her here definitely not to enjoy life as a young lady of the Swift family, so she had to do her best to stay.
After being taught by the servants, Wendy learned that she had to scrub Felix's body every day and give him massages when required. As Wendy did not know how to give a proper massage, today she was only asked to do the scrubbing.
The servant left after telling Wendy what to do. Wendy looked at the man lying on the bed, gritted her teeth, stretched out her hand, and carefully took off the man's clothes.
Although she knew that Felix was in a coma, he was still a well-developed man after all, and Wendy was extremely embarrassed to directly face the body of a strange man.
She had never seen any man naked in her life. She had almost no skin contact with her ex-boyfriends too.
However, this was her job, and she was in no place to avoid it.
Soon, Wendy forcibly suppressed her embarrassment and stripped off all of Felix's clothes.
Although Felix had been in a coma for three years, under the meticulous care of the Swift family, he was no different from a normal person except that he was thinner and paler. He was slender and well-proportioned, there was no extra fat on his body, and he exuded a faint male hormone.
Wendy looked at Felix's still graceful muscles, blushed, and wiped every corner of his body with a towel soaked in warm water. In the end, her hand stopped at Felix's most private part, and she was a little at a loss.
"Mr. Swift's body must be cleaned every day, and someone will come to check it."
Thinking of what the servant said before leaving, although Wendy was embarrassed, she still took off the last piece of clothing from Felix, looked away, and wiped it a little roughly.
After a while, Wendy felt that it was almost done, and hurriedly put Felix's clothes back on one by one. Because she was so flustered, she did not even notice that Felix's body was much tenser because of her movements, and even his fingers that had never responded all these years had suddenly moved.
