The air thickened with agitation from what had just happened. I didn't see this coming. It had been ten years since I last saw Colin, I didn't think he would dare to rear his head back into my life again. Not after how things ended. After all that had happened.
How dare he barge into my territory?!
My blood only started to cook off when I heard Lyra's voice call out my name. I winced knowing i had to face her. She would hate me by now, I knew she would.
And then my gaze met hers and I stood frozen with guilt. There were remnants of shock and pain in her still face. Her face then became unreadable, perfectly still as she said “we need to talk”
My heart sank to my stomach.
