For the rest of the afternoon, Micah could talk of nothing but the Pokémon movie. Rick let his son’s nonstop chatter wash over him—as they ate lunch at McDonald’s, or window-shopped at the Toys ‘R’ Us outside the mall, or walked back to the car to head home. During the drive, he had a bit of a reprieve only because the car’s radio drowned out the sound of Micah’s voice, and once they reached the house, the first thing Micah did was turn on his iPad to play Pokémon GO. When he headed outside to see what he might be able to catch on the game, Micah finally gave Rick a much-needed reprieve.
