“Tonight will be more of a consultation than anything else,” Rick told Marty once they were both settled on wooden stools behind the counter, Marty’s laptop open in front of them. “You’ll tell me what it is you’re looking for, I’ll show you what I can do, give you some examples of my work, and we’ll go from there. How’s that sound?” Beside him, Marty nodded. “Like a plan.” He leaned forward, his shoulders against the counter, the laptop angled towards him. Rick had to reach past him to use the keyboard. Marty didn’t sit back, though, didn’t move out of the way, and didn’t seem to feel Rick’s arm against his shoulder, either, when Rick reached for the laptop.
