Mia’s POV
We finished up in my office at dinner time. We all headed down to the dining hall where we met my parents, Paul and Amara all seated at the table.
I asked my mom to check up on them so that they feel welcome. As I reach the table I go to Amara and bend down so that we are eye level.
“Did you have a nice nap Amara?” I ask her with a gentle smile. She just nods and gives me a shy smile.
“I’m so happy to hear that. I still owe you some choc chip ice-cream, don’t I?” I say and she nods furiously and I giggle. “If you eat all your dinner and all your veggies, I will make sure you get a big helping just for you. You don’t have to share with your dad.” I whisper to her like it’s a secret.
