Hunter’s POV
It’s been 2 hours and I am pacing the hall trying to calm Odis down. He is raging and growling and trying to force a shift to get to Mia. “Please calm down Odis, you are draining me and we need our strength to be there for Mia.” I say.
“We need to get to mate. I felt pup slip away and I can’t connect to Athena.” He whimpers. “What?” I yell at him. “No, please don’t say that, they will both be okay.” I try to reason.
“No Hunter, pup is gone.” He whimpers again and lets out a mournful howl in my head. “No!” I yell and collapse to my knees and let out a mournful howl of my own.
“What happened Hunter?” Shay asks as she rushes to my side. “Our baby...” I sob. “The baby is gone” I whisper and sob. She holds me tight and Talia comes over to hold the both of us while we all cry. D
