I don't know why I did it. I was carrying Cassy up the stairs and she fell asleep in my arms. I was going to take her to her room. I was stood outside the door and I just turned and walked a little further. She didn't wake or stir at all. I carried her in my room and put her in my bed and she just kept her precious eyes closed. And when I got in beside her she rolled into my chest and my wolf let out a satisfied growl. I slept with her in my arms and it was the best night's sleep I have ever had. Her scent calmed me and my wolf. And now I was awake and I still couldn't bring myself to regret it. Her large t shirt had ridden up to show her taught stomach. Her arm and knees were fully healed and that made me settle even more.
Her eyes fluttered once. A small smile spread on her face
