“I feel warmth spreading through me when I am wrapped in the familiar embrace of my best friend.”

“Chelly, I missed you soo much” he murmurs in my neck. Hi breathe whispers just below my ear. I feel the goose bumps erupt within me.

“I missed you too Ace” I whisper and tighten my hold on him. After a few seconds I move back.

“My, my you are looking more prettier bestie.” He says with a genuine affection.

“You ar.. are loo looking handsome as always.” I reply giving him a smile of my own.

“Well it runs in the blood babe.” He gives me a wink.

“Come let’s go. Your male ego is too big for my room.” I grin.

“You wound me Chelle. He says dramatically placing his hand on his heart.

Shaking my head at this I move and take my clutch.

“Shall we” he extends his hands

“I am really happy that you are back Ace” I whisper taking his extended hand.

Giving my forehead a kiss he murmurs “Me too” with that we both walk out hand in hand towards the party which is already in full swing.

Reece McQuoid POV

I am Reece McQuoid the soon to be Alpha of the Blood stone pack. Even though I am perfectly capable of managing pack on my on my dad is not ready to handover the Alpha responsibilities to me as I have to find my mate to lead the pack. I am twenty three years old already. I am loosing hope because I have gone to endless pack in search of my mate but all to no avail.

Without mate I am weak to manage the pack. Our soul and wold becomes lonely and thus goes into depression. Right now I am the gym trying to vent my frustration by concentrating on punching bag.

“whoa man. Take pity on that” says Nate my best friend and the coming beta of this pack.

“Not now Nate, I am not I the mood for one of your jokes.” I state sternly.

“Okay chill man I was just trying to lighten the mood.” He replies.

“So what has got you so worked up” he asks.

Frustrated I remove my gloves and take towel to wipe the sweat of myself.

“Dad wants me to mate with the alpha’s daughter of Golden Summit pack” I groan.

“What seriously” he sputters while drinking water which accidentally spills on me.

“Hey, look out man eww” saying that I step back wiping myself clean.

“Sorry. Like seriously. Alpha Emmett wants his son to mate with someone who is not meant for him” he asked shocked.

“so you imagine how shocked and frustrated I am right now” I bit out.

“I can understand man. So how are you going to convince your father otherwise?” he asks.

“I will try. But you know dad. Convincing him is as if banging your head on the pillar.” I say.

“Don’t worry. We will find a way out.” Saying that he leaves telling me he has some other work.

I know what my dad is thinking does benefit our pack. Our pack The Blood Stone Pack is one of the largest and strongest packs with over 1000 members.

We are one of the strongest wolves after after the Grey wolves Canis Lupus. We are sub species of Canis lupus known as Canis lupus occidentals. We are also known as Mackenzie valley wolf or Alaskan Timber wolfs.

We stay in Alaskan forest. Alaska, Northwest of Canada is the largest populated U.S. state. Its known for its terrain of open spaces, mountains and forests with abundant wild life. It is destination for out door activities like skiing, mountain biking. We are the tallest wolf in the world. We basically stand about thirty two to thirty four inches and weighs between one ten and one seventy five pounds. That is fifty and seventy nine kg.

For front sake in order to not highlight that our kind wolves are still residing and are present. We act as if humans even though we are both. As per our convenient we use our human form. We manage different business in United States. So as to not alert the government about our species.

We would live travel and hunt in packs. But we have strict rule of not harming any humans in our way unless we ourselves are in danger. Pack includes the Alpha male and Luna female who lead the pack. They are soul mates for life.

I was really shocked when my dad said that I have to mate with someone whom the moon goddess had not paired for me. A mate is your everything. A mate for the wolves is someone who is specifically made for you by the moon goddess who gives you strength to lead your pack. As I am the Alpha, me not having a mate is the weak point for our pack. I am worried. I don’t know what else to do. I hope moon goddess makes a miracle before the alliance is announced between our pack and the Golden summit pack.

“Where have you lost Alpha” says Mona, Clicking her fingers in front of me. I come out of my thinking when our pack witch Desdemona appears in front of me.

“So, I heard about the alliance” she states with a teasing glint in her eyes.

“So you are enjoying my misery” I ask with narrowed eyes.

“Well you could say that” she replies coyly and adds further “after all the great Soon to be Alpha is not liking it”

“If you don’t have anything good to say I am leaving” I tell her and try to walk past her.

“Not so soon Reece” she says back in her friendly tone.

She is witch of our pack Desdemona. Our pack has so many allies in times of protection against an attack. That is why we are one of the strongest pack with 1000 members.

The second strongest is the Golden Summit Pack with seven fifty members. So that is why you see my dad wants me to mate with their Alphas daughter.

“I see this is really upsetting news for you as you have been very often zoning out.” Says Mona once again snapping me out of daze.

“I have good news for you Reece” she says with a smile.

“Really” I ask getting happy because she has always been the one who helps me. She is just like an over protective elder sister.

“Don’t get so excited because I am just going to give you the hint even though its against moon goddess decision.” She says tampering my excitement a little.

“Okay fine” I reply.

“You are going to meet the future Luna soon enough. So be ready.” Saying that she disappears.

“What, seriously this was your hint” I ask in return. I only hear her laughter echoing in the now empty room.

“It was as good as nothing” I mutter to myself. This is what I sometimes don’t like about her. She is always, mysterious. As a witch she has the ability to tele port from one pace to another. But she is also been the one who always helped me in times of need. Shaking my head after that I move out of the gym. Walking down the hallway towards my room which is on the fifth floor.
