The Meet

" Bhai, please don't ask me that again?" I cried to Big - B playfully. He was pestering me about his date with Miss Maya Maheshwari. Actually, I was.

We were at hotel walking to reception. Dad was out for his work, I didn't know where and Mom had kitty party at her friends. Usually, at these moments, we ate out and si here we were. Kundan King's was big-B's favourite place, I don't know why because I didn't like the surrounding here, it was so dull and fuzzy here but food was remarkable so I could definitely compromise.

" Adi, how can I be this fast? We need time." I narrowed my eyes accusing him for being coward to face her.

" Alright I need time." He said later rolling his eyes.

Really?

" Fine! Don't propose her. Just praise her and convince her to take your geld. This date. " I chortled dancing before him.

" How many times, man?! It's no date. Formal meet! A FORMAL MEET! Don't sound you have much experience with it. " He Snarled giving me his 'I am the boss' look.

" Whatever. But you two will be together meeting somewhere, that's date. Somehow! "

We argued and receptionist waited looking at us agape. When her patience ran away, she reluctantly interrupted us.

" How can I help, sir? "

" Just tell my Big bro that it's mostly guys who initiates. " I scoffed both and laughed.

" Shut up! We have reservation by the name Sambhav Malhotra. "of course,the first part was for me.

" Yes, sir. I will lead you there. " She chirped. I looked around reflexively to sigh and enjoy the dull beauty when my eyes found a two bulging eyes encased perfectly in the pretty yet beastly face. She returned the look then picked up the menu and pretended to scan it.

I laughed staring at her when she pulled down the menu to steal a glance. Her orbs were amazingly amazing when threatened to pop out. Two freaks were jumping on their seats. My eyes contact broke by a voice.

" Walk i***t!" I nodded at bhai and followed him to our table. We had the table at the corner just one table beside theirs. We sat there and bhai gave our usual order. He knew what I liked or hated.

We were facing each other. Beasty avenged, that's what bhai said. Stupid little beast.

" I think, I should have her a gift. What say..?what are you looking at? "He followed my gaze and knew what I was looking at because she too gave 'i am the one' signals.

" Who is she? The one whom you are bragging from the first day? " Without listening to my answer he stood up and walked to her shocking me," let's meet her. "

What?

No.

It was too late so I followed him there. Her eyes widened when she took in the situation. I liked her in shock.

" Hello beautiful girls! I am Sambhav Malhotra, Adi's elder brother. " He chortled.

Adi?

Not in front of her!

Atleast to her he must have called me Aditya or AD.

" Hello sir. " she said elegantly which she wasn't.

Really? Who says sir?

I giggled. Bhai gave me a harsh glare taking out the time out of the wide smile he was flashing at them.

" Call me Shambhav please! Alia! Right? " He said smiling widely to her," Can we join if you all don't mind?"

I mind!

But no one gave a s**t about me.

" Yeah, sure. " She said. I thought to call after someone to have us seat but did that myself for us.

" Thanks. You are? " bhai asked her friends.

" Shruti Saraogi and she's Richa Agnihotri. " Shruti chirped.

" Nice to meet you all. " Bhai greeted them. If he had been same with Miss Maheshwari than definitely they would have had been married this date. But he used to lose his nerves in front of her. She would make him to fluster, flutter or whatever, he used to say. I imagined him talk this way to her. She would have definitely fallen in love with him. He is smart, handsome,humourous, respects woman and CEO of the big firm.

Wait!

He can cook.

He can cook dad a delicious treat of achievement, big achievements.

He can cook mom a extraordinary love I couldn't afford.

He is totally awesome and cool.

What else a girl would want? That would be the whole package for any girl.

"He is i***t. Lots in his stupid head! Don't mind him please" He said patting my shoulders.

I hate you bhai!

" Whatever he does or behave like but he is so nice person and can be a good friend too. He is my baby boy! " He said last part, winking at me.

Somebody please kill me!

" Yeah, I know. He is so nice person. And a baby boy! " she teased. Bhai was being so good to them and she kept giving me looks.

Wasn't she insulting bhai?

She was.

Why behave this way to him? When It's me who did things.

" And we both know that you are more good than me. " I mocked at her.

" Adi. Stop! You need to say sorry to her for the first day. She's such a cute girl!" He exclaimed.

Enough.

My Devils are on loose and I will slay her now.

I won't say. What ever the hell she is. Being cute doesn't mean they can't be beastly.

" After today's incidence, I owe her nothing. I won't say sorry. " I said." She avenged me already. "

" You started that first so you must. " Bhai said.

" Sambhav bhaiya. Thank you! But if he doesn't feel sorry then it's would be of no use If he say it anyway. It is good that you believe I am right. "

" Hmmm. That's correct. " He said giving her a smile.

What? But I am your brother.

" Your meals are here . May we be excused from the table? " Bhai said as he saw their dishes coming.

" I didn't ask to come in the first place. " I sneered at her. We went back to our table.

" Why you did that? I hate you! " he chuckled. What that?

" I wanted you to befriends but You made hole which is bigger than black hole. Kidding! She is nice girl and there is nothing wrong if you start being good to her. " He laughed then added," alright. Back to me. What I should gift her? "

" Why would I help you when you did that to me?" I said snd turned my head away from him. I wouldn't help him now. He kept calm as he didn't get annoyed much. Just chilled and laughed at me and At most of my things.

"Okay. Fine! Why you have to be sarcastic, behave outrageous when you are not that?! Be yourself. Be good. Be funny. Sarcasm sucks. And it's not only for her. " he gave me wide smile. I really don't know what I was. But until he was around me, I was sure to be on right track because he didn't let me after what happened back then. I didn't want to remember it even.

" Sarcasm is cool! " I said and he rolled his eyes.

" Get her big event by.. By having her meet someone. And she wouldn't take it as you are doing favours to her. That someone would ask for her work and give the project. " I suggested. Later I thought it bad idea.

What would he gain out of that?

" Exactly. She would get that without knowing that it was me behind this. At out meet, I would arrange that. " He rushed happily.

" Unsung effort! " I said. Our meal too came. We were having it when our head turned to source of sound . they were leaving. Bhai nodded and waved them. They too waved at him. Little later we too were done.

We reached home and we selected the suit, perfume, shoes, watch and what he had to say to her for his date. Later we played Chess where I lost badly . he had always had patience when I lack that. It's no excuse by me. Dad and bhai both say this. He laughed at me and I challenged him for basketball match. I was better at that.

It was already 12:00 so I went to my room, surfed net and checked my messages.

Kanika: AD tomorrow early at 7:00. Freshers discussion. I have great ideas.

Me: Kay..

Alia's POV :

We skipped our classes after lunch break for shopping.

"Guys, what about movie? I think will can shop later. Let's go movie. " I suggested.

" Alia. We are going shopping first. Movie can wait. " Shruti said irritated.

We went to mall. I really have no clue what to buy. Richa suggested short dress would look best on me while Shruti kept up choosing long gowns.

They had their own dresses and they looked really good in them. I was far from good with whatever I tried on. Then I again searched if I could get the good dress. My eyes went to blue dress. I was all exhausted trying and so Richa and Shruti were. So I took it and went to trail room. I had it and when I gave it a look, it was looking good on me.

I hopped out to let them see when Richa exclaimed, " Wow! It's awesome! You are looking hot! "

"It's not that, Alia. Why don't you try something else? " Shruti Shrugged.

I pressed my lips hard and raised my brows for their suggestion.

" Kidding man! It's awesome. Get it. " I sighed not that I got my dress but I wouldn't have to try more. We rushed to billing counter and paid.

Next we moved to shoes zone. I was fed up of choosing dress so I just went on putting them and experts stopped me which they thought would match my outfit. It was blue six inch heels. Dammit! Six inch. I would trip to get ashamed. I disapproved for that while they forced it to me.

We moved to accessories section and again they helped me choose the Golden pendant with shining crystals. I had bracelet with golden and blue crystal already. So I saved enough money to buy me a small ear rings. This was my expensive day.

We went to dominoes and had pizza and coke. I had tomato capsicum pizza while Richa and Shruti ordered cheese pizza and corn pizza resp. I don't love these stuff just like them. My love is spicy, tangy, crispy and juicy pani puri. I know I wouldn't get to eat that with these girls. They babble lot about their diet. They for sure wouldn't eat that but this.

I was all exhausted to do anything more. I decided to wake up at 10:00 to finish my assignment.

I woke up by my buzzing alarm. Unwillingly I forced myself sit up and headed to bathroom to freshen. It was mid night when I was done with my work. I tried to sleep but couldn't so I plugged in my headset and listened to music.

My ears were transferred that notes but my head wasn't taking that in. I was thinking something else. My thoughts wandered on several things.

Freshers party, him, Tia' s trip, him, yesterday's dinner, him, him, him.....

He was on my head.

He had been the only person I had been irritated from the day I met him. He was the strangest person I had ever met. I didn't like him. He only knew to throw sarcasm. Taunt you. But the thing that was tormenting me badly was what I was getting myself into. I mean, I had never planned against someone. I had never hated someone when I see their face. I had never been so sarcastic.

Jeez!

Then it hit me. I was too being sarcastic like him. Maybe Tia did my part. So I hadn't been this. I was getting very irritated by myself and him too.

Whatever!

I waved my thoughts away and plugged out the headphones, trying to sleep.

I was walking in the verandah of the very old building. It was very old that there were spider webs and dirt all over. Everything was covered with white sheets . the room was draped in dark but moonlight helped my sight.

My feets were shaking. My heart rate was at peak. The silence there was only interrupted by my heavy breathes. I heard someone other breathe. It was as mine, just that it sounded few seconds later than mine. I looked around and found no one. It's me, only me. I didn't know if I should fret about that or thankful.

I continued to walk shivering. Then I heard the flap of wings very close to me. That made me jump and I stumbled shouting my throat out. My teeth clenched and eyes shut in fear.

Horror struck me more when I saw the shadow that was nearing me. The nearer it came, more the fear grew. Slowly it shortened and my sight went to the real figures.

'You.. What are you..... doing... here' I stammered. He laughed the loudest.

' Where is your confidence? Are you scared? Hahaha.... You tripped me and you think its over? It's not' He snarled.

'I don't fear you... Jerk. I d.. on't. ' I stammered.

' But you are. ' He smiled deviously showing his shinning white teeth. And then the teeth grew larger... Larger and sharper and sharper it went on. He came near to me.......

' Nooooo....... '

"Nooooo.............. " I sat up on my bed shouting. I was all in sweat and shivered.

Jerk! Damn you!

What are you doing in my dreams i***t?
