Five: Where's Elijah

1305 Words
Where’s Elijah Five: Corbin We had just reached the King of Alpha’s pack, the Silver Claw Pack. I feel so excited to see Elijah once more. For the last couple of years, I haven’t been able to come as my Daddy and Dad wanted me to get some summer projects done for when it’s time for me to apply to colleges. I want to go into Supernatural studies and Efram College is the best, so I need the extra credits to be able to get in. It is the same college that my Aunt Izzy went to and met her Fated Mate. A dreamy sigh leaves my lips as I think of how romantic it must have been. How I just cannot wait to turn eighteen and find my own Fated Mate. “Hey, Cor.” I hear my sister as I look over at her she is driving us as our parents won’t be out until tomorrow. They are dealing with some pack business at the moment and couldn’t get away. “What’s up?” I ask as I see how she is nervously chewing on her bottom lip. “Tabby?” I say as she glances back at me. I hear the long sigh that leaves her before she starts talking, making me worry about what she wants to say to me. “I just want to warn you.” I frown at her, what the hell does she need to warn me about? “Look it has been a couple of years since you have been here last. Dad and daddy are trusting me to watch over you until they get here tomorrow.” I nod. “Yeah, so?” She looks at me as we come to a stop at the front of the pack house where everyone is waiting for us. “I want you to behave. No going off with boys or doing things you’re not supposed to.” I look at her with horror on my face. “For your information Tabby. I’m nothing like you. I’m still a virgin and plan on waiting for my Fated Mate just like Daddy did.” I get out of the car, slamming the door as hard as I can walking away from her. I don’t care if she is calling my name. I’m fuming as I reach the group. All of a sudden, I’m lifted off my feet and swung around like I weigh nothing. “Corbin your finally here! I have missed you.” I hear as I’m put down. Laughing I turn expecting to see Elijah but am surprised to see a boy about my age. He smiles at me as I try to remember who he is. “You don’t remember me, do you?” I shake my head. “I’m sorry but no.” He nods his head, his smile never leaving his face. “I’m Tomas, Everts brother. You know Evert, Elijah’s best friend.” “Yeah, I’m sorry I didn’t recognize you.” I say as he smiles at me. “Come on guys, lets go to the watering hole.” Eric shouts as we all scream and shout grabbing our beach bags out of our cars. Thomas grabs my hand and leads the way pulling me behind him. I laugh and skip down the path as the waterhole comes into view. The dock off to the side that was built just for us to run and jump off of. We all start stripping out of our outer clothes. I take off my top as Thomas appears in front of me. “Hey, can I show you something?” I look at him nodding. “Sure.” I say before I know it, he grabs me by my hand and pulls me away. I laugh as I enjoy the side looks, he gives me. Chuckling himself as we stop in front of the school. “Why are we here?” I ask as he smirks at me. “I want to show you something.” I shrug my shoulders and follow him inside. “So, um…. Do you know where Elijah is?” I ask him as he frowns looking at me. “I think he is still asleep. Why?” I look at him as now he looks angry, red faced and all. “Why?” I say as he pulls me through a set of double doors. “Maybe because he is my best friend, and I haven’t seen him in almost two years.” “Oh.” He responds to me while scratching the back of his neck. “He will most likely be at the watering hole when we return.” I nod my head as I look around the huge auditorium, he has brought me in. “So….” I say looking at him and he blushes. “Hold on a second.” He runs off to a room on the side. I stand there as the lights dim, a clicking sounds off and the ceiling lights up. I gasp as the ceiling turns into space showing all the planets and stars. I’m so lost in the moment that I don’t even hear Tomas coming up beside me. “Watch.” I jump as I feel his breath in my ear. I smile at him while moving a couple of steps away. I don’t feel comfortable with him that close to me. I hear the clicking sound that changes the views and I’m lost once more in the moment. Hours must have passed as I was lost in the moment once more when Tomas turns the lights back on. “Well?” I look at him with a big smile that hurts my face. “That was awesome.” I say looking at my watch. “Oh no. I have to get back to my sister before she sends out a search party.” I see him scratching the back of his neck once more. “Yeah, I’m sorry. I will take you back.” I nod my head as he grabs my hand once more. My tummy starts to churn as I realize I don’t really want him to hold my hand. My sister’s words pop into my head. I don’t want him to think I like him, but I don’t want to be rude either, so I let it go. We had just reached the water hole when I felt his breath in my ear once more. He says something but I don’t quite understand but laughs as if I do. I feel nervous for some reason and want to push him away. Before I know it, his hand is on my cheek turning my head and I feel his lips on mine. I feel a well of anger boiling in my stomach as I push him away slapping him hard across his face. “How dare you kiss me. Don’t you ever touch me again.” I scream as my sister is right by my side pulling me away from that infuriating boy. Tears are flowing down my face. “He kissed me why did he kiss me. He isn’t allowed to kiss me.” I cry out as I feel myself being dragged off by my sister. I pull out of my sister’s grip as she stops and turns to me. “Where’s Elijah?” I ask as the tears are nonstop. My sister shakes her head. “I don’t know.” That was almost a week ago. I don’t know where Elijah’s is. My sister does but she is not talking to me. Now we are packing up to go home and my heart feels like it is breaking. This summer sucked big time. I didn’t even get to see my best friend. Why????
