I held the note attached to the breakfast cart left for me outside our room. I reread it three times, unsure if I was reading it correctly.
“What’s that?” Myles plucked the note from my hands. The more he read, the more he frowned. “What does that prick want with you?” The letter was from Kylian, requesting my presence at the community center first thing in the morning.
I pulled the cart into the room and shut the door, fearing someone random would overhear our conversation. “Who knows. Maybe he wants to talk about last night.” Or he wanted to talk about what I was doing in his brother’s office, but I still hadn’t told Myles about that incident. It felt too late to tell him at that point.
