I was no longer sure what I was allowed to do. Sienna clearly had no friends, thanks to herself, and Ashton was very confusing. I wasn’t sure what deals exactly were made between them or how Sienna usually acted with him, yet I was starting to get a good picture, and I could see I was confusing him in many ways, but I really didn’t want to leave. It felt safe here.
I knew that as long as Ashton held me, nothing bad could touch me, yet he seemed to grow a little uncomfortable, and I moved away when I felt strong enough. I went to my own chair, and neither of us could really look at each other. I focused on my half-eaten food, but I did not have much of an appetite now, even though my stomach growled.
