“Damn it! and damn it again!!!!!, Georgio kept repeating. He was sitted at the back seat of his ebony black Rolls Royce phantom custom made for him with additional security gadget including all round surveillance systems. He wished he hadn't accepted the young lady into the company. He had no other option because he couldn't risk sacking another employee for no justifiable reason without appearing crazy to some members of staff. So, he would have to keep her around for some time while looking for reasons to get rid of her at the slightest mistake. “She was definitely human and so bound to make a mistake, he thought. “But then, damn! She smells trouble to him, he continued in his thought. His mind drifted again as he considered her features. The large, deep sea-blue eyes, dark hair and soft pink lips all stood out against see soft smooth skin, and shapely features. She was PHAT as they said back then, meaning pretty, hot and tempting. Definitely he was attracted, maybe because of him being a man. But he knew that this would raise dust, first at the office and then might endanger her if he got involved with her. "The ring" was after him. He had betrayed and abandoned them over fifteen years ago, but there was a problem. The ring never forgot, never forgave and always paid back double. They had taken his wife from him, and had threatened to deal with him slowly but sequentially. He had just merely escaped death by the whiskers a while ago. But as long as he remained in the US he remained safe. This means he couldn't travel far and even here he had to have heightened security. He was watched daily by men who seemed to move like robots and even home schooled his daughter who he could barely boast of having a relationship with anymore. So it was hard, nearly impossible to see exactly what you have always wanted within your reach, but being totally unable to reach out and touch it even with the tip of your fingers. Damn! It was hard but it had to be done. That is why he was Georgio Armando. *****.....*****.....*****.....*****.....*****.....*****.....*****.....***** Gabriella Armando, awoke with a startle from a frightening dream. It was the same dream, always the same dream where her mama died or went to heaven, as her father said, to become an angel. She hated the thought of that, the knowing that her mama Alyssa would no longer be there to come pick her up like she used to, sing her songs and tell her stories. Yes her papa was around , but the truth was that he was not always there. He had been there more often when mama was still alive at least, she could remember them sitting in the reserved boxes at football games, watching and cheering together, while she gobbled up popcorn, chocolates and whatever else her heart desired, especially if she had been a good girl. Mama always wanted her to be a good girl and it meant eating her vegetables and learning her ABC. Well, it all ended two years ago when Mama passed away. Well, pops tried to continue it at first but it was easy to see even from her own childish eyes, then that pops was also overcome with his own grief that he could barely console her in hers. So he shouted at her for odd reasons to the point where she just stopped going to him anymore. He was no consolation. Then she had torn the letter books and threw them away. They couldn't bring mama back and they definitely couldn't help her. That was when she stopped talking. It seemed her voice had disappeared with her mum and try as she could, she could no longer bring it back. She longed for those good old days, well it seemed those days weren't even close by. She would just have to make do with what she had. She got up and walked down the stairs as the maid called her name. Lunch was already served. *****.....*****.....*****.....*****.....*****..... Lia reached her apartment located just within the suburbs. It was not grand, but it was home, a warm, comfortable place where her peace and serenity were preserved, which was why she insisted on living alone for now while working in the city. Looking at her place one might never guess she was working as a secretary to the great Georgio. Looking back on her first day at work, Lia cracked a giggle. The morning incident still fresh in her memory. She remembered Georgio standing before her looking all angry and grumpy. It seemed so funny to her how that handsome face of his could become sullen in just an instant. The giggle soon cracked further and Lia's face cracked open with smiles and laughter. She thought about it further. However, the man was not so much of a bad person as what she had seen today. Yes, he seemed grumpy at first, even annoyed while he kept looking at his shirt as though to remind her of their previous encounter. But as time passed, he seemed to have gotten accustomed to her presence, her ability to observe and he had even asked her to help him with something at work. She knew this actually felt weird, but she felt sort of attracted to the man, his charisma , and the traces of softness she seemed to have noticed in him. "This is work Lia, keep it professional, she cautioned herself. *****.....*****.....*****.....*****.....*****.....*****.....*****.....***** In New Mexico, Enrique Gostavo, and Fàbiàn Mario sat down to a sumptuous dinner of whole fried chicken and lamb with pasta. There were men armed to the teeth who stood guard at the door to the elaborate dining room. This was one of those places where even devil's dreaded to tread, where a man's life could be gone, just like a puff of smoke. If momma ever warned you to stay away from bad men, well these were those bad men. These are men who moved and shook things in the underworld of crime, drugs, p**********n and killings. They sat on opposite sides each one trusting the other completely. They were all bound by oath to protect each other. Their bodies bore scars of beatings, of fights of operations gone wrong and even successful operations. It was what had held them and gotten them the positions they so rightly deserved. Here their words were law and they were emperors. They were "The ring". Although, there were also five other members of the ruling class in this drug cartel. These two shared a common grudge and a common enemy, his name was Armando Greorgio. The very sound of his name made their eyes turn red over past incidents which were constantly on the mind of these two every day of their existence. *****.....*****.....*****.....*****.....*****.....*****..... It had all begun about thirty years ago when Armando's father had decided to teach him the way of the gun and also the trade. He learnt how to tell a good batch from a bad one, how to shoot without missing and also how to know when the po-po's or police came around to catch the drug dealers. He became so good that it was rumored around that he might replace his father at the big table whenever the later departed. He soon grew to become powerful and popular in the ring and all seemed to be well. A d*******l soon came in which was worth twelve million dollars but some dumb slackers in the US tried duping the ring and having the entire money to themselves. Members of the ring traced down the slackers down to the US and swore to take care of those dumb asses and also bring back the money. Five young men were chosen for the operation one of whom was Georgio Armando, Lucas Gustavo and Alphonso Fàbiàn sons of Enrique and Fàbiàn were also chosen. Then they were properly initiated by an oath. They drank the blood of each other in a cup before being sent. The plan was perfect, and seemed to be going well, until..... *****....*****.....*****.....*****.....*****.....*****.......
