Esme I jolt upright in bed, eyes darting all around the room. This isn’t the room where I was held captive; it’s different in many ways. Where the hell am I? Why is everything white? Goddess, my eyes! “Good, you’re awake.” I narrow my eyes at the blonde walking towards me. She’s tall, slim, pretty, dressed like a doctor, white coat and all. Ah, this must be a hospital room. Goddess knows how I got here; I thought I was good as dead. How the hell did I get here?
