While the demons of the Lothur Continent were already on their way to the Harrdigor Continent to meet up with Julius and the human forces that were on the same continent as him had declared his race as enemies, the person in question was currently romancing his wife in bed without the care in the world.

The mimics in disguise as humans were able to acquire the information of the humans’ standing regarding his fiends. Since it could be said that they were now openly enemies, Julius would give no quarter to anyone that invaded the Shifting Hallows or the lands of his allies.

Naturally, that only included the humans of the Auxpex Kingdom who were labeled as traitors as well as the dwarves of Aurumfaust and the elves of Redgrove Forest. 

There was still some upheaval within the new Auxpex Kingdom since there were many believers of the Holy Light Church present among the inhabitants and humans that saw the fiends as nothing more than monsters or demons. 

Queen Yvette needed more time to settle the people of the lands she had taken over but it was going to be hard since people were still loyal to their previous kingdoms. Patriotism wasn’t something that was easily snuffed unless the ruler and nobility were a bunch of useless bastards.

There were 3 kingdoms that the Auxpex Kingdom had taken over, namely, the Halox, Bentra, and Polus Kingdoms. The only kingdom that had fully submitted to the Auxpex Kingdom’s rule was the Halox Kingdom. 

The Halox Kingdom’s ruler was a rather belligerent one. He was incredibly militaristic, pouring all of the kingdom’s economy into developing the military and he even forced mandatory conscription for all the able men and women of his kingdom who had experience wielding a weapon, was an adventurer, or had the gift of being a mage.

Due to this, the masses were always in a constant state of poverty due to the high taxes that were used to fund all of the military’s expenses, and with fewer people to work the fields and tend to the animals, the ordinary people’s food was expensive due to their scarcity and the need to rely on imports from merchants outside of the kingdom.

Even then, most of these imports would fall into the military as rations while the leftovers would go to the market to be sold to the masses for a rather substantially high price. The previous King held no regard for the well-being of the ordinary people so the citizens who were left immediately submitted to the Auxpex Kingdom who had promised them a better life. Naturally, it was just the ordinary, non-combatant citizens that remained since Julius had ordered his fiends to thoroughly eradicate the Halux Kingdom’s army just like they did with the other two kingdoms’ armies.

Many families lost their loved ones during that war so it came as a surprise to Julius that even though this happened, the majority of the Halux Kingdom’s citizens had so easily submitted to the Auxpex Kingdom.

The only problem would be the other two kingdoms that would occasionally try to rebel. Julius’s fiends were there to take care of any uprisings or rebellions but it was doing more harm than good for the Auxpex Kingdom.

Whatever harm it was, Julius didn’t care. He was only upholding his end of the deal by taking care of any problems that arose within the territories by having his fiends eliminate them.

The church’s declaration that branded the dwarves, fiends, and the Auxpex kingdom as enemies of humanity also didn’t help out with Queen Yvette’s efforts to unite the territories of the previous 4 kingdoms.

Many citizens within the 4 kingdoms were believers of the church. Riots happened in the streets and things only became more chaotic. Yvette had to deal with all of that but the silver lining was that it wasn’t only the fiends that were helping out, but the dwarves were as well.

If it was left up to only Julius, he would probably have to kill twice as many humans as he did during the cleansing of the 3 kingdoms’ armies. All of that wasn’t his problem but Queen Yvette’s problem.

Their strikes carried a few of the effects of Julius’s [Unholy] skill which he obtained after evolving and gaining the ability to use negative energy.

This negative energy didn’t clash with the fiend’s energy inside his body or what Julius now called positive energy. The two types of energies created a certain harmony within his body, a balance.

They pushed and pulled against each other, complimenting their counterparts’ strengths and weaknesses. Since his body’s energies found harmony, during the evolution, his body was reshaped to adjust to this harmony.
