While Eisha and Julius were off training, the rest of the fiends were moving according to Julius’s commands and were expanding their forces and influence within the Shifting Hallows rapidly.
Aria had taken over monster nest after monster nest with all of the fiends she could muster up and control. Her level had risen rapidly since most of the fiends she spawned had come straight from her own womb after Proto impregnated her.
Both Aria and Eisha’s [Spawning] skill required a mate so naturally, Proto had to fulfill that role because Julius was too busy dealing with other things. The [Spawning] skill’s creation limit was 50 fiends, but every individual fiend's strength would randomly be around 70 to 90 percent of their parents.
The stronger the parents, the stronger the fiends spawned by this skill. The duration of the skill was indefinite and whatever the children killed would be turned into EXP for the parents so Aria was able to rapidly level up thanks to this and it didn’t take long before she hit level 50. Not long after that, Aria quickly surpassed Eisha in level due to her non-stop campaigning around the northern regions of the Shifting Hallows.
Eisha had been busy dealing with external affairs regarding their alliance so she hadn’t seen much combat as of late. She was now level 70 but Aria was already close to level 80 now.
Practically the entire northern regions of the Shifting Hallows had come under Fiend influence but unfortunately, there wasn’t any suitable place to build a new Sanctum at.
It was unfortunate, but it wasn’t like Julius was in a hurry to create a new Sanctum. He needed to wait for the rebirth of Sammael before he could consider searching for a location to set up a new Sanctum.
It wasn’t wise of him to leave a Sanctum without the leadership of a hero unit. He couldn’t spend too long away from the Main Sanctum because the only Nucleus his fiends had was built there.
It was why the First Sanctum was the Main Sanctum, the only base of Julius’s fiends that had the powerful hub construct which could let Julius connect individually with all of his fiends right at the same time.
As long as he was still using the system, the Nucleus was the only construct that could help him achieve the full potential of his fiends’ hivemind capabilities.
Since his evolution, Julius was able to freely use the Nucleus as he pleased and truly become one with all of his fiends. The sensation of being 10,000 creatures all at the same time felt quite...omnipotent. The once chaotic minds of every fiend found order now that he was level 3 and attained his first evolution.
Just a single command of his would immediately cause these ten thousand creatures to move together without any chaos. Like chess pieces on a chessboard, or the puppets in a puppet show.
Since he no longer felt any mental strain, Julius was able to effectively command all of his fiends to make them work more efficiently and proficiently. The latter part was thanks to him being able to give them specific commands now.
Thanks to this, the mimics Julius had sent out to spy on the other races of Harrdigor were able to seem much more like a person since they were now capable of showing more emotion and their movements weren’t so rigid anymore.
Of course, this came at a cost because the amount of mental power or brainpower he used to maintain this was around 50 percent and that was only with the help of the Nucleus. If Julius did this without the Nucleus, it would undoubtedly overload his mental capacity and cause some problems for his brain. Although he wouldn’t die from it, the worst thing that could happen to him would probably be epileptic shock or something of the like.
To give an example, Julius’s brain was akin to a computer if he used the Nucleus. A computer could run so many processes all at the same time but once you overload its processing capacity, the computer would start to slow down and even freeze up at times.
Since he could only achieve this sort of mental capability with the Nucleus, it was why Julius made a new clone of himself and left it in the Nucleus whenever he went away. The clone could last 2 weeks in the Nucleus before it would need a break to recharge its mental stamina.
That was why Julius needed to return home to the Main Sanctum soon and swap with the clone. As for why he didn’t create another clone, that was because creating any more would have an impact on his main body.
One clone made from his blood didn’t have any impact on his body but two would actually cause Julius to lose 10 percent of his normal capabilities. Creating another would actually halve his main body’s powers which was a penalty he would rather not have on himself.
Proto could take the clone’s place but he was busy so Julius needed to go back and personally replace the clone. The only way to lengthen the clone's duration in the Nucleus was to train its mental capacity, which would constantly be tempered when he was using the Nucleus.
Julius had around 3 to 4 days before Zweit, the name he had given to his second copy, could no longer bear the strain of using the Nucleus. In the next 3 days, Julius hoped that Eisha would be able to quickly adjust her body to the negative energy and thankfully, things went smoothly.
With Julius’s guidance, Eisha’s body was able to quickly adapt to the negative energy. In fact, Julius could have done it in a single day if he had just given in to his desires and had s*x with his wife.
Shooting his essence inside of Eisha which was rich in both negative and positive energies would have immediately heightened her body’s tolerance to negative energy. Too bad he was being too serious about the training and made Eisha wait for 3 days before finally doing it because he was going to leave soon.
This could only happen with her because she was the Matriarch and whatever Julius, the Lord of the Fiends, gave her, Eisha would immediately be able to turn it into her own. In fact, they didn’t even need to have s*x, Julius just needed to transfer even a little bit of his negative energy inside of her, and Eisha’s body would have immediately been able to adapt to that.
There was so much that Julius needed to learn about himself, his wife, and his fiends. Some of the things other creatures found hard to do would be made easy by his fiends, for instance, reproduction, evolution, acquiring strength, abilities, and skills, etc.
Other races would need years for all of that but the fiends only need an instant because once they devoured something or someone…
Even the dwarven craftsmanship, Julius’s fiends were able to acquire. Of course, this naturally had some aspects of exploitation to it and he needed to thank his wife who seduced King Sithaeth’s daughter, Brunhilda, into her chambers back when she was still busy dealing with the affairs of their alliance.
Since Brunhilda was so curious about Julius, Eisha had to teach the young girl a lesson because that was her husband. So she decided to have intercourse with her while at the same time she collected and preserved Brunhilda’s DNA that had made it inside of her body.
Eisha wanted to teach Brunhilda a lesson but she had a rather splendid time doing that to the point where Brunhilda now swung the other way and became infatuated with her instead of her husband now.
Well, as long as his fiends got the DNA of any creature, his new fiend structure, the Evolution Chamber, would be able to replicate any of the abilities provided from the DNA into the next generation of fiends that Julius designated and spawned.
There were quite a few handy new structures that he could create and the Evolution Chamber was one of them. With the structure, Julius had easily secured the dwarven race’s craftsmanship without killing a single dwarf.
Eisha naturally told him how she did and although she felt guilty, Julius laughed it off because he didn’t see Brunhilda as a rival, especially when Eisha was already his wife. Sooner or later, Brunhilda would realize the truth of herself and she would fall under his command.
It was good enough already that Eisha was able to pull the girl over to his fiends’ side ahead of time. Julius was just rather relieved that Eisha didn’t choose Brunhilda’s father as the target to collect the dwarves’ DNA since it was the more obvious choice if she wanted to get things done quickly.
“Eisha wouldn’t do that…” Eisha said with a pout. “Eisha’s only man is honey and Eisha could never be more satisfied.”
“Hehe, thanks for that.”
“Hmm~”
“I have to go now, my love. Zweit is waiting for me to switch with him. I’ll take this chance to see what’s happening in the rest of the continent.”
“Alright, honey. Have a safe trip back!”
“Mhm, I’ll see you real soon, okay?”
“Okay, bye~”
Julius nodded at his wife before he left the Dark Spire.
