Chapter 16: First delivery

Where are you going to get the energy to fight with bad guys from if you don't eat?"

Brittney who wasn't listening stared at him blankly without saying anything Lloyd softly calls out her name with tenderness. "Brittney?"

Lloyd is no different from Daven. They have similar personality and have one thing in common they both love Brittney. It's only that one doesn't know, and the other is scared to confess.

Lloyd had long fell in love with Brittney when she first joined the force. He only discovered his feelings for her later. but still wouldn't confess afraid of getting rejected and ruining their friendship. With that, he chose to keep his feelings to himself, but the more he keeps them, the more they are growing. Lately he has decided to confess after the hard cases have been solved.

After Daven got dressed in his work uniform, he went to the counter where Leticia gave him a list of orders." Here you go my little Davie"

Although Daven hated the name, as long it was coming from a pretty girl then he was fine with it." Thank you"

" Wheres mine?" a deep, sexy voice said behind Daven Daven could feel shivers running down his spine as he turns around. A bald, tall man, wearing a long, black leather , who appeared to look bigger and stronger than Amir that makes people feel small when standing next to him, stood behind Daven with a proud face.

Daven who found his aura very familiar scanned him from bottom to top but couldn't recognise him.

The man smiled playfully at Leticia and leaned over the counter pushing Daven away. " I asked, where is mine? "

Leticia who was knew the man rolled her eyes playfully and pouts her lips. "I don't work with bad men."

"Oh! But I'm gentler in bed"

Amir who just had gotten out of the kitchen overheard them. Anger quickly erupted with smoke coming out of his ears. 'This guy again! '

He quickly went over, pushing poor Daven out of the way. When this happened, Daven complained in his heart.

" Ehm! "

Both Leticia and the man ignored Amir who was standing just there. Seeing them ignoring him, he clears his throat again, but louder than before.

Daven who was trying to figure out about Amir's sudden behaviour almost got cracked up when he realized that Amir was being jealous of the man flirting with Leticia.

' I wonder what is the relationship between them. No wonder he doesn't like me, turns out that Amir wants Leticia for himself.' thinking of this Daven suddenly gets an idea that will provoke Amir. But for now he just need to chill and watch what Amir will do with this mountain infront of him.

Amir literary just got ignored again. He furiously taps the man's shoulder and said in unfriendly tone." Sorry, but you're blocking my way."

The man just looked at him up and down before mercilessly ignoring him, making Amir feel stupid.

Daven couldn't control himself any longer and burst into a laughter. Seeing this stupid

boy laughing at him, he became furious at both of them. Amir stomped hard almost breaking down the wooden floor. Daven couldn't stop laughing at this scene and wished that he had taken a video. He found himself saying, "Is that all you got?

"What's going on in here? Amir Dave! why aren't you guys going to deliver the orders? " Their boss shouted from afar.

Daven quickly fled away followed by Amir with his head down.

" Talk later sweetheart." The man winks at Leticia before turning around " Good to see you here again old friend. "

Daven's boss identified as Boss Lee reached out his hand for a handshake.

Shaking Boss Lee's hand, the man teased, " Boss Lee, you are so stubborn, you haven't grown up yet? "

" Ahh you got jokes I see. Let's talk in my office." Boss Lee led the way and the man followed behind.

After Daven finished packing the orders on his food carrier, he took out his scooter and headed out to the first address.

On the way he suddenly thinks about that guy he saw in the restaurant. " Who is he? " He asked himself looking at the road blankly. Without realising it he increased the speed.

Only then did Daven realise that he was speeding and stops abruptly when he sees a car infront of him that he almost crashed into.

" What the f*ck you doing boy! You wanna die or something!" the person driving the car shouts in fury.

Daven just ignored and rides past him. He was lucky that this city doesn't have many traffic cops, otherwise he would have been slapped with a huge fine. 'Phew! What a way to die delivery boy.'

Inside the office, The man identified as Brod sat opposite to Boss Lee. " Have a drink with me." Boss Lee poured two glass of his most expensive whiskey in his office, which he is always proud of.

Taking a sip, Brod frowns then smiled " What a precious drink you have."

" What did you expect? I have a good taste you know. " He sinks back to his chair with a haughty smile.

Brod didn't want to waste any more time as he has somewhere to be. "I don't wanna waste too much time here. As you know I'm a businessman so let's get on with this."

"Hey! He's still my Boss, you can't talk bad about him." Brod coldly looked at him with a terrifying face.

"Don't mind me, I have this thing of stating facts randomly hehe..." Boss Lee smiled sheepishly, he's just an ant in Brod's eyes. He could be crushed easily by him.

"Well keep them to yourself."

Daven who had left the city was no longer sure if he was going the right way. He was no longer seeing houses. all he could see was trees and the road led into the forest. He stops and checks the map in his phone.

"What the..." it showed that he was going the right way and he was almost there.

He stood there for a minute before deciding to continue after he got curious to find out about this isolated place
