I am so tired. Just want to sleep or do nothing but I can't. Someone needs my culinary skills. I need to learn how to say no to some clients. But not right now, I need the money, especially now that Becca is around.
I entered Becca's room and saw her staring into space with tears rolling down her cheeks.
“Hey,” I hugged her tightly from behind.
“Whatever it is, I'm here and we'll tackle it together. I will never leave you or let anyone hurt you again. I promise.”
Becca cleaned her cheeks, sniffing and blinking rapidly to stop the flow of her tears.
