Mirror let out a long breath and spoke softer this time, unwilling to wake up the entire staff. “I know you were both just trying to help, but believe me. I’m fine.”
“You’re not fine!” Sophie and Quinn yelled in unison.
Mirror tried to keep a straight face, and remind herself she was furious with these two. The laughter kept bubbling up in her chest, shaking her shoulders and exploding out of her mouth before she could stop it.
Quinn and Sophie exchanged glances. They must think I’ve gone mad. Mirror was laughing so hard that happy tears ran down her cheeks.
