Daciana's pov I winced in pain, as Eden kept pulling me through the hard floors of the hallway which lead to the conference room. “You’re hurting me, Eden.” I managed out in a whisper, as we got to the door of the conference hall, staring down at the little trail of blood from the injury at the hoof of my leg that was caused by the broken heel. “Does it look like I give two shits about you? Even if you should fall off a cliff right now, it’ll do both I and you a huge favor.” Eden said with gritted teeth, causing the hole in my chest to deepen more, as I felt a lump at the back of my throat, and tears behind my eyes, which threaten to fall out. “Can... can, I at least use the bathroom and clean up, before joining you in there?” I asked in a choke, hoping he'll at least consider my present state. Eden stared down at me with so much malice laced in his eyes, before letting my hand go in a huff, causing me to land on the floor like a ragdoll. I was more grateful that everyone had already made their way into the conference room, so there was no soul around to witness the humiliation I was facing from my husband at the moment. “Two minutes.” Eden growled at me in disgust, giving me one last venomous glare before walking off into the conference doors, which he banged shut after him. My legs were shaking as I hobbled over, trying to pull myself up, using the walls, after I had pulled out the destroyed heels, dumping them on the ground, before I wobbled my way towards the toilet, letting small prints of blood on the floor, while I made my way into the bathrooms. My whole world was spinning around me in circles, even though my vision was blurred from the tears falling down my cheeks. I got to the bathroom sink, where I ran the waters, maneuvering myself in a way I was able to wash off the blood from the hoof of my feet, carefully draping it with a paper towel, wrapping it with the weak paper towel, before placing it back on the floor, still grimacing in pain, as I went ahead to wash up my face. I watched the little make up I had put on my face to impress my husband, wash down my face in a brown and black mess into the sink, alongside my endless tears. My entire body ached, alongside the newly attained wounds. My head was pounding like crazy, my nose felt swollen and stuffy from all the crying. The blood loss made my head spin worse, as my vision grew hazy and dark. I leaned heavily against the wall behind me, trying to keep my balance, but I knew I could collapse any minute if I wasn't careful, given how bad my headache was getting. My hands gripped tightly onto the counter as nausea threatened to overwhelm me, making my stomach churn, and I tried not to vomit right here and then. As I let out a whimper as another wave of pain hit me, this time sharper. The feeling was so intense it almost felt like someone was stabbing me repeatedly in the gut, with a sharp object. I was about to let out another fit of tears when I heard approaching footsteps towards the stall. I immediately wiped my eyes with the paper towel, gaining my composure, as I couldn't risk anyone seeing me in this state. I had already gotten enough embarrassment that day to last a lifetime. “My Luna.” Came a soft voice behind me. I whirled back to see one of my maidens, with a new pair of flat shoes and a small first aid kit in her arms, as took a bow. “Trisha,” I whispered out, with a sniff. “What are you doing here?” “I witness all the Alpha did to you. I'm sorry, but I had to follow you in here, to make sure you're alright.” Trisha, my personal handmade, almost my age, and only friend in the palace said, as she gently placed the box on top of the sink, and the shoes right on the floor close to me. “You didn't have to,” I said with a sob. “It is fine my Luna. You don't deserve to be treated this way.” Trisha said, as she crouched down to the level of my feet and began tending to my wounds, using the antiseptic and cotton wool, to wipe off the dried blood, after she had gotten rid of the messy paper towel I had used to wrap around it earlier. “Thank you so much,” I said in a whisper, not trusting my voice, as she carefully dressed my wound, helping me put my foot into each leg of the shoes she had brought for me and all thanks to my werewolf ability, the wound had already begun healing. “I got rid of the shoes you dumped out there and wiped off the trail of blood to the bathroom,” Trisha said with a smile as she got to her feet. “What will I do without you?” I asked with a sad smile, as I engulfed her in a hug. “You deserve better Luna.” She said, reminding me for the umpteenth time, as I let out a sad smile and an expatriated sigh. “I was given only two minutes Trisha. I already have exhausted most of it already.” I said, diverting the topic, as I started limping my way toward the door. How would I ever get better, when I was no better myself? I thought with a sarcastic shake of my head. “I hope it doesn't get too late for you before you realize it my Luna.” I heard Trisha's voice from behind me. I turned my head slightly to look back at her with a sad smile. “I appreciate your concern Trish.” I said softly as I opened the door for her with one hand, then shook my head sadly, as I made my way out of the bathroom, shutting the bathroom door after me. I let out a deep sigh, as I limped my way through the hallway toward the conference hall. I shivered in fear as all eyes were on me once I got into the conference hall. Eden’s glare on me didn't go unnoticed, as I slowly made my way to him. He crossed his arms over his broad shoulders, glaring at me, daring me to do anything stupid. He looked like he wanted nothing more than to rip me apart, with his bare hands. I gulped nervously as I got to where he stood.
