Silver Moon

Jennifer's POV "Dan! Stop being such an instigator." Luna Heather scowled at the man flirting with me. "I apologize for my brothers behavior. As you can guess, he's the flirt around this pack. Along with being a flirt, he is also the gamma of the pack." "I just speak the truth. She's gorgeous, is she not?" I feel myself blush and feel rather uncomfortable. "She is beautiful and belongs to me, so back off." Josh growls out. Okay, that was kind of hot. "Okay, okay. Sorry!" Dan throws his arms up in a surrender motion while laughing. "Oh, look who is finally joining the party." He says out loud as he stands and tackles the man walking to the table. The woman beside the man simply rolls her eyes at this. I can only assume this occurs often. When she catches my gaze on her, she smiles brightly. "Hi!" She engulfs me in a hug, catching me off guard. "Oh, hi!" I say between my laughter. "I'm Stefanie. Josh's best friend. That guy over there who is wrestling with Dan is my mate, Adam." "It's a pleasure to meet you." I kindly reply, though I feel bitter about her being best friends with Josh. She is stunning and probably had guys chasing after her before meeting Adam. Her long blonde hair is currently up in a high ponytail and she has ocean blue eyes. I can tell by the muscles she has that she works out often. Honestly, I find her to be quite intimidating. "You okay?" I hear Josh's soft voice ask me. "Yes. Sorry. I zoned out." He nodded his head, but looked like he didn't believe me. Great. "Stefanie and Adam are our head warriors of Silver Moon. They teach every wolf in the pack how to fight and build body strength." Alpha Steven informs me. Ah, that explains the muscles. "Do they do that often?" I ask Stefanie, pointing to the two men still rumbling on the ground. Letting out a loud chuckle, "Yes. Pretty much everyday. I'm surprised they weren't fated mates." This causes everyone at the table to agree while cracking up. "ADAM! Stop being rude and come meet Jennifer!" Stefanie hollers, resulting in the two men to stop what they are doing and walk over to us. "Can you tell who wears the pants in that relationship?" Dan asks me as Adam punches him in the gut. "You're just jealous that you haven't found your mate yet. Just you wait. You will do anything and everything she tells you." Dan rolls his eyes at Adam. "Yeah, okay." "If you children are done, can you take a seat please?" Luna Heather asks with authority dripping from her tone. "Jennifer, it's a pleasure to meet you." Adam says as he reaches a hand out for me to shake. Leaning over the table, I shake it and give him a warm smile. "The pleasure is all mine, to meet all of you. I still can't wrap my head around the fact that werewolves exist." I admit sheepishly. "Awe, I'm so glad Josh finally found you. I think we'll get along perfectly." Stefanie joyfully exclaims. "Thanks. You have no idea how happy I am to have met her." Josh says as he looks into my eyes, causing me once again to blush. "When are you moving in?" Dan asks, and the Luna elbows him harshly. "Dude, what the hell? Would everyone stop hitting me!" He exclaims dramatically. "Umm.. I haven't really considered that. I just met Josh the other day. I barely know him or any of you guys. Plus, I love my house. After what happened though, maybe I should sell it." I ramble on nervously. "What happened? If you don't mind me asking, that is." Adam asks. "Hey, it's okay. If you don't want to talk about it, you don't have to." Josh assures me as he rubs circles on the top of my hand that he is holding. It feels rather comforting and I enjoy the feeling. "Yes, please don't feel pressured. We can go right ahead and talk about something else." The Luna continues. "The last thing we want is to make you uncomfortable after finally meeting you." She adds. "No, it's okay. I want to tell my story. After all, I know about your world, you deserve to hear about mine. Especially if I might live here one day?" I can tell Josh didn't like the way I said it as a question more than a statement. Truth is, I don't know what my future holds. I agreed to give Josh a chance to get to know each other, but what if I decide we aren't a good fit together? I would never tell anyone about the werewolves, but I would never forgive myself to stay with someone I'm not compatible with just because I'm told that I am fated to them. "Wait! Don't start the story without us!" We all turn our direction to a man and woman rushing over to us. "Well, nice of you both to finally make an appearance." Dan smirks. Man, this guy is a d**k. "Sorry, we were...busy." The woman begins to blush. "Ew!" Josh playfully says with a disgusted look on his face. "Jennifer, the last of the people for you to meet today are Alison and Zach. The are our delta and female delta of the pack." Luna Heather informs me as the two take a seat. "Nice to meet you. Sorry for the delay, but now, please go on. We are intrigued to hear all about you!" Zach happily says to me as he pats Josh on the back.
