Alpha Lucas POV
I entered the room just to find Eve leaning on the floor, her hands and face in blood.
„Alpha Lucas.“
I rushed to kneel on the floor, next to her.
„Eve, what happened?“ I looked expectantly at the doctor, who was now nervously watching me.
„I...Is she not the Healer you said you'll fìnd?“
I looked down again and brushed her hair aside for me to be able to see her face. Her expression revealed how much pain she was in.
„What happened?“ This time my question was for the doctor.
„I came in and saw her above Mandy with her hands on her wounds. I looked at the monitor. I can tell Mandy is much better, Alpha. But apparently, healing has its price.“
I took her in my hands and put her on the nearest bed.
