Chapter Two

Ashley's P. O. V.

The doctor came back with a hospital gown. He handed her the gown and said, "If you'll follow me I can show you the shower." He started to walk away, and we followed. Once we were there he tried to help her undress but there was no way I was going to let that happen. I stepped between them and growled protectively over my mate, once again.

"Oh, I see well would you like a nurse to help her instead? You may stay if you'd like."

"Yes I would like that very much." I said while releasing another protective growl. He nodded his head and walked off to get a nurse.

"A-are you okay?" Asked Alexandria. I looked at her and then replied.

"Yes Alexandria. I'm fine. Why?"

"Well, it's just that your acting like my dad did when he was trying to protect me and my mom."

"Oh. It's just that I care for you. I want you to stay safe."

"What's your name?"

"Ashley."

"Ashley is the only reason you are acting the way you are because I'm your mate?"

"You know about mates?"

"Yes Ashley. I'm 13. I know I'm still young and all but I'm old enough to know what mates are." After she said that the nurse walked in.

"Hello, I'm the nurse. I'm here to help you. Young Alpha if you would look away I think we'd get through this quicker. The less I'll have to touch your mate. I understand my self how the mate bond works. I wouldn't want to do that to you." She says and I nod. I turn around and hear the nurse help her with getting her clothes off. Then the shower running. Soon after she was done and I could turn back around. Which wasn't a good idea considering that she was only in a hospital gown. I knew my eyes turned black with lust as I looked at her. She was even more beautiful without all that blood on her. Then my dad walked in.

"Ashley. You shifted for the first time today. And boy can I say. That wolf you got there. Wow. One powerful Alpha you will be. And a brave one too. Standing up to a rogue like that. Just to protect someone younger than you. Wait? Why did you protect her?" And here it begins.

"Dad. This is Alexandria. She is my mate. I accept her how she is. I don't care about our age difference. I'll wait till she is ready before I mark her." I said all in one breath.

"She is your mate." My father said while looking at Alexandria. It wasn't even a question. More of a statement.

"Yes dad. She is my mate." I say again. Then he just smiles and hugs me.

"My baby girl shifts for the first time today, stands up to a full grown rouge and finds her mate. All in the same day! Isn't this just amazing! We have to tell your mother. " He said and tried to pull me out of the room. But I held my ground and he looked back at me confused.

"I'm not leaving her alone. I can't do that. Not in her condition. Im not leaving my mate were other people can harm her." I say to my dad. Then he just smiles at me again.

"Your going to be a good Alpha and an even better mate." He tells me then walks out the room.

"So Alexandria. Are you okay with the fact that we are mates?" I ask.

"Yes I'm fine with it. It just a little surprising. I didn't expect to find my mate so soon. I still have five years till I shift." She says. I walk over to her and wrap her in my arms being sure not to hurt her.

"I don't care. I love you the way you are. I don't care how long I have to wait. I'll wait forever for you." I say and I give her a kiss on the cheek. I look at her and it's evident that she is blushing. "Come on sweetheart. Let's get you checked on so we can hurry and leave this place. I never liked hospitals." I say and she laughs. My goddess. Her laugh is so beautiful.

The doctors check her, and says she'll be fine. It'll take a month for her to fully heal. All because she hasn't shifted or been marked by her mate. Which I refuse to do unless she asks me to.

So a month of babying her it is. I get to treat her like the princess she is.
