Chapter 10Life returned to something akin to normal for the two men, given the fact Wyn and Celyn were now permanent residents in Christoph’s house. Helen had decided that she would stay on as Celyn’s tutor and babysitter although she moved back home, now that things had settled down. As a result, she arrived at eight in the morning Tuesday through Saturday, and left when Wyn got home from work.
Christoph heard from Detective Julius Bernard that trial dates had been set for Vernoble and the others who had been arrested as part of his drug cartel. Thankfully, as far as Wyn and Christoph were concerned, neither of them would have to testify as no one other than Julius was aware of the parts they’d played in bringing Vernoble to justice.
