Ava stood outside the barrier waiting to greet her family that was coming to visit. She was bouncing on her toes in excitement until finally, she saw their heads appear. Kain was there too! She took off running towards them and leaped into their arms. She wrapped her arms around Kain hugging him tightly. He lifted her up off the ground and swung her playfully in his arms. She had missed him so much.
Suddenly loud snarls were heard from behind her family. Kain flung Ava behind him protectively as several lycans approached. Their eyes were pinned on her. Their loud snarls made their presence more known and Mia ran out from the barrier next to Kain.
