VERA'S POV
I sleepily searched for Jack in bed and woke up to realize that he was not in bed. I was pissed by that and closed my eyes again, foolishly expecting his gentle touch again.
So I was disappointed when Tim jumped on top of me when he came back from school. He looked very happy and I didn't want to be a killjoy by telling him that he was not the person I was expecting to do that.
"Good afternoon, Miss Vera!" He greeted me excitedly.
"How's school today?" I asked, pecking him repeatedly.
"It was fabulous! Especially when I remembered I was gonna meet you at home, I made sure to pass my classwork!!" He said and gave me his mathematics workbook.
