Chapter 3I actually don’t know what possessed me to come up with the idea to cook for Donovan. Carmy. I still wasn’t used to that. I had to ask him when he came over. It would have been way easier for us to meet at a restaurant. The nicer places necessitated a short drive, but there were a couple of more casual café-type restaurants up the street from both of our businesses. Apparently, “easy” and me weren’t acquainted. Sunday morning, I made the short walk to the ubiquitously named Vermont Country Market for some ingredients. While there, I couldn’t help but browse through their autumn and Halloween merchandise.
