"You never know how much you really believe anything until its truth or falsehood becomes a matter of life and death to you." ~ C.S. Lewis. AVA WILSON P.O.V "Why don't you take a seat and we'll discuss business." Mr. Trocelli spoke slowly, clutching his fist. I shook my head. "I don't believe we have any business together, Mr. Trocelli. And as you can see I have work to do." I had just turned around when he grabbed my elbow in an iron grip. I glanced at his hand and narrowed my eyes at him. "I would let it go if I were you. No one is here, and I don't give a s**t if I break your nose." His gaze darkened, making his grip loosen. "I wouldn't dare to threaten a man who is twice my size if I were you, Ms.Wilson. And you are right that there is no one to witness what really happens here." Red flashes in my vision and before I knew it. I kicked his ball. He fell on his knee and grabbed my feet before I could hit his nose. He was much larger and stronger than I thought. He came to my chest on his knee and looked at me downright furious. "Let go of my leg, you ass." I yelled at him as I struggled to push him off my legs, but he was pure muscle under his suit that he didn't bulge an inch. "You're an arrogant, offensive bastard and I am not going to waste my time on you. You can go f**k yourself." I shouted at the top of my lungs with a red face. "Stop swearing!" He hissed in pain still clutching his private part. "I don't want to talk to you more than you want to talk to me, but I am here because of the mess I dig myself into. I just want your help." That got my attention. I stopped struggling and stared at him as he grew a horn. "What the hell are you talking about? Why would I help you?" He rolled his eyes, releasing me. "You very well know what I'm talking about Ms. Wilson." I frowned "I'll give you exactly ten second to explain yourself before I scream blood murder." Watching his jaw clenched, a muscle ticking under his right eyes, I realized just how angry Marcello Trocelli was. There was no humor left. He was barely restraining himself from reaching over and choking me to death. Be an adult , Ava. "Let's try again," I said in a much calmer tone "What are you doing here?" I was proud of myself for my perfectly pleasant statement. "I'm here to propose a marriage, Ms.Wilson." He said in a deep voice as he just announced a death sentence. I blinked a few times before I grinned and lost it, throwing my head back laughing. "What exactly is so hilarious about the situation Ms.Wilson?" He demanded. Clutching my stomach, I shook my head as I tried to stem the flow of my laughter. He looked at me with a poker face, "I'm sorry." I told him. But he still gave me a poker face and my smile vanished from my mouth as it hung open while his statement replayed in my head. It took a moment before I finally understood. "My answer is NO." I glared at him. Frustratedly, he rubbed his face and took a chair. "Sit," He ordered. I narrowed my eyes, making him huff "Please" He pleaded. Without any argument I said "That was not hard huhh." I teased him. But he walked towards the window and stood there. Impatiently I started tapping my feet waiting for him to say something. "You know a lot of things about me. I can sense it, the way you are insulting me. You are thinking of me as a playboy, casanova type man. Who changes girlfriends every week, dates two to three girls at one time. And the worst I can bet you have heard about me, I am a sadist?" He spat out. I still because he was saying exactly the same thing I have read about him. "That's because they were showing your true colour." I choose to comment, making him clutch his fist. "Bullshit," He snapped. "There's no single truth in that s**t, first of all, I don't have any girlfriend. Second, I'm a businessman and I meet a lot of people everyday. Third, yes I do one night stands but the women know very well what they were dealing with, it's not like I used them and threw them out." He spoke, making me gulp down my saliva. "Because of my character assassination, I'm this close to loosing my dream. My father gave me an ultaminium that I have to get married within three month or he will remove my name from the C.E.O list. And I cannot let that happen." He growled in anger. "That's why I'm asking for your help." He continued. I stood up and stood behind him. "It's your father, it's your dream, it's your company, and it's you who is going to lose. I have nothing in all of these. Spare me Mr. Marcello Trocelli. I won't step back from my words." I told him with a loud voice. "I'm not finished yet Ms.Wilson" He growled making me shut up "And now coming to the point why I need your help, Ms.Wilson because we are on the same boat." I frowned. "I choose you for my plan because I know your shop is going down, you are far behind paying your bills. Your supplier has already given you a last warning. You are looking for another job. You need money for your aunt's treatment. She's in her third stage of cancer. She doesn't have any idea about all your blunders huh? Now come to think, how would she react, if she knew all your dirty secrets?" He turned around with a wicked smile plastered all over his face. I look at him wide, "Well, now I can see why your father wants to take out your name from the C.E.O list." I spat "Not only are you incapable of showing emotion, you're also a cheat. Plus you are such a bastard." He scowled. "I'm only a bastard to those who like to play hard to get Ms.Wilson. I'm a businessman, I know very well how to crack a deal and how to take a man right into my plans" At this moment, I honestly couldn't recall any reason why I like him. Maybe because of his look but none of the articles about him ever clued me in how incredibly crude this man is. I couldn't control my tongue. "You've certainly got an ego to match your bank account. You must absolutely hate to beg someone for their help." He clenched his fist. "What I absolutely hate is helping some opportunist like you. Just because I need you for something, I am standing here talking to a foul mouthed girl like you. Instead of quarreling with you, I suggest a business agreement that will benefit both of us." "Just because you stopped me from cracking your balls a second time, I certainly wouldn't miss the third time in any condition." I sassed him with a glare. He ignored me but his right eyes twitched in anger making me proud of my comeback. "We will stay married for a year, which is the minimum period my father will be satisfied with." He finished making me smack my lips. I put a hand up to stop him, unable to keep my mouth shut any longer. "And after that?" I curiously asked. "I will pay you for your services, Ms.Wilson." He said curtly, "Your One million Dollar will be in your bank account and I will call the best doctor from around the world for your aunt's treatment." He smirks looking at my face because he truly knows, he has now hit the final button. My jaw dropped so fast, I was surprised I didn't faint from the shock. I barely managed to close my mouth and swallow hard. "It's a win-win situation Ms.Wilson. You have 24 hours." He took out a card from his wallet and kept it on the table. "I will wait for your answer." He spoke out and walked out of the shop even before I could gain my consciousness of what exactly happened. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ "HELLO LOVELY PEOPLE DON'T FORGET TO VOTE AND COMMENT. "
