3rd person P.O.V.
Liv runs up the stairs without looking back. Bloody super long dress, it is not easy to run. She goes towards the long hall behind the stars, where she stumbles on her dress and falls down face first, but she reaches her hands to the ground to break her fall.
Her mates are frozen for a while, still shocked by the unexpected revelation. Laius was shocked to have found his mate and by the fact that she is also mated to 2 other kings. Avalon and was shocked to learn that his mate wasn’t only his. While, Elric didn’t expect to have Laius also in the picture, although he knew before that Avalon wanted to claim HIS Livia. After a moment, when they recover from their haze, they follow her.
Elric flashes himself to be in front of her, reaches for her with his hand “may I help you?” She ignores him and stands up by herself.
The other 2 men reached her too. Heck, the 3 of them are slowly walking towards her. She walks back until she feels the cold wall with her back. Dammit, I’m cornered like prey. She thinks.
The men exchange harsh looks between each other, but there was something more besides silent threatens in their eyes, they were also stunned. Liv realizes that she’s not the only one surprised. Understatement of the century. She’s not surprised, she is freaking out big time, hyperventilating, having a cardiac arrest, and whatnot. She thinks.
She looks at each of them in their eyes. The tall, strong elf with silver-blue eyes, full lips, fair skin, strong jaw, and blond-white hair in a man bun. Man-bun is a thing! Goddess bless the hipsters, she thinks. He looks so cool. He has a powerful but very serene aura surrounding him, has she ever seen him before? Why does he look somehow familiar? She is indeed getting very confused and hazed.
Her eyes move to her already known cousin, Avalon, the Wizard King. The man that she knew she was supposed to be mated with since she was a child. He is tall, strong but not bulky. With his dark blond hair, thin lips, smug smile, and his changing-color eyes. It was a quite unique and enticing feature about him, his eyes changed colors according to his mood. Now shades of green and grey are shining on them.
And the 3rd one, what is he? He’s hot, that for sure. He is also quite tall and strong, has large shoulders, a mischievous smile, and full lips. Whisky colored eyes and black curls falling wildly on his forehead complete his carefree but imposing look. He has a light tan and a strong and sharp jaw. There is also a very warm, HOT energy coming from him as if he was on fire and about to set the whole world on fire with him.
"She’s my mate! That’s the event to introduce my mate! She’s MINE." Avalon says in an edgy voice, as he throws daggers at Laius and Elric with his eyes as if he could kill them only with his infuriated glare. He couldn't ever foresee that this night, the night he meant to introduce his mate to the Supernatural world and finally being able to claim her after so long, would end up like this.
"She’s not only your mate, that’s obvious." Elric remarks in his typical serene tone, even though he wasn't feeling as calm as he seemed.
"You don’t get her because you saw her first, Witch!" Laius affirms grinning at Avalon. A grin that holds a threaten.
"You will regret coming to my Realm and stalking my mate! ... If it’s a war you want..." Avalon starts, his eyes are shinning grey with fury and indignation.
"You sound like someone who will be grilled on a stick in hellfire. You both could use the tan” Laius smirks at the other two males.
"You’re both absolutely uncivil. Barbaric." Elric retorted.
"Says the Pixie." Laius taunts Elric, smiling evilly and Elric growls in response.
"I’ll incinerate your Realms and take my woman with me," Laius affirms in a bored tone as if it was the simplest thing ever.
"She is not yours! You are both henceforward banned of my Realm and I swear to ban you from the face of the earth if you even come close to her. I will..." Avalon retorts.
Liv only watches the exchange between the 3 enraged kings, still trying to wrap her mind around what is happening.
Mel approaches them and when she is near enough, she chimes in. “You are scaring my daughter”
"Mel, stay out of it!" Avalon utters, looking at her.
"Not this time, Your Majesty." She replies as she walks towards Liv. She hugs her wide-eyed daughter and a very shocked Liv clings on her mom.
"We can all talk, like adults, like civilized beings," Mel adds.
"For that..." Elric starts. Mel gazes at him with a pointed look and he sighs but doesn’t speak any further.
“You could start by introducing yourselves.” She says not unkindly.
"Fine... princess, you are right. My name is Elric, the Elf King." He walks closer to his mate until they are just some inches apart and stands his hand. Liv reaches hesitantly for his hand and gasps as she feels sparks. He kisses the back of her hand and she has a bad dejá vú. She looks intently at him with wide eyes as he lets her hand go. The sparks at the contact of their skin are actually the proof that he is indeed also her mate, and it’s true. It’s impossible but true.
The Wizard King gets closer to her and beams a lopsided smile.
"As you know, MY mate. I’m Avalon, King of the Wizards," he says holding both her hands in his. She feels sparks dancing across her skin once again. Avalon walks back, but still keeps her at arm’s length.
Laius gets closer to Liv, they are only inches apart. Avalon growls and Elric narrows his eyes trying to control his possessiveness. Elric knew that she might also be mates with Avalon, after all, he came to this party knowing that Avalon would introduce HIS Livia as his mate. But having the King of Hell in the picture was the most unpleasant surprise possible.
"Sweets, I'm Laius, the King of Hell, at your service." he winks at her and kisses her cheek, raising sparks across her skin and leaving a pleasant tinkling sensation. She looks at him shocked, as her breath hitches in her throat.
Liv recomposes herself and Laius gazes her a questioning look, raising a brow at her without stop smirking. “Oh… my turn, I’m Livia, Liv. I’m an enchantress princess.” Then she asks, her voice not much louder than a whisper: “So, should I choose one of you or is it the 3 of you?”
"Of course, you shall choose one... Having 3 mates is unheard of, even having 2 is quite rare." Elric answers calmly, trying to don’t stress his visibly shaken mate any further.
"Not even in Hell we’ve heard about having 3 mates. And there we hear about everything." Laius adds with a grin.
"Mates of different species is also something quite rare because it does not work. You should obviously be with someone of your own species." Avalon adds, insinuating that he is the clear choice, in fact, he thought that there wasn't even a choice to be made, she should obviously be with him. She is his.
"Indeed." Elric remarks with a secretive smile, making Avalon look at him confused.
"Maybe she should try all the options and choose what she deems better," Laius suggests with a smirk. The other 2 males growl possessively.
Mel sighs, "It’s not a wine tasting festival."
Suddenly, an old enchantress approaches them in a flash and starts to speak in an unexpectedly deep voice, "She can’t choose one. The bonds are intertwined. If she does choose, the 3 bonds will sever, fade. For the bond not to be broken she needs to mate with the 3 of them. Mark and mate simultaneously with the 3 of them.”
Liv gasps. The 3 males growl possessively at the idea of sharing a long-time waited mate. Mel’s eyes open widely and her face becomes livid.
"It must be another way... 3 mates is too much," Mel mutters, before gulping hard.
The old lady says calmly: "That’s the way, the only way, Enchantress Princess Melinda von Lichtstern of Varhal."
Mel sighs and gives her daughter a worried look, Liv looks back at her and says “Mother, let’s go home.”
Mel wraps an arm around Liv’s shoulders and the men open space for them to leave. None of them want Liv to leave, but she needs space, she has a lot to assimilate. They all have.
Elric mind-links Maximus, his second in command, he needs to act swiftly, before Liv's other mates do so.
Avalon approaches the elder woman before she speaks for the 3 males to hear: "That’s how it supposed to be. If you want a mate, you’ll have to learn to share."
“Thank you for enlightening us, thank for your wisdom Mama Schawn” He replies with a light bow, surprising the other 2 males.
Kings never bow, especially not to commoners. Especially not King Avalon. That old lady must be something. Elric thinks.
~ * ~
Laius couldn’t learn to share. Kings don’t share, especially the King of Hell. Let alone sharing his precious mate. That was what she is to him, his long-awaited and precious mate, the only thing that could bring him some peace and love. The only light in his dark world. He was no angel, that for sure, but he could love and cherish her. Even if he would need to fight his own sadistic nature. The Devil’s love. He would see what that is, as far as he remembers, he has never love or being loved. She was his only chance of love and happiness. And in his own way, he too craves those things. He craves Liv. He would find a way for Liv to be his and his alone.
Without losing any time he calls his second in command and issues his orders, "I need the army ready and waiting for my command to attack, we might have to invade this Realm soon. Besides that, ask the potion maker what she can prepare, a lust, love potion, something to make my mate want me and me only."
"These potions can have very dangerous side effects." His second in command answers.
"We can deal with the consequences later. Now, do as I demanded." Laius replies.

Liv and Mel are silently going down the stairs.
Mel breaks the silence, “the bright side is you could see all of them.” Referring to the fact that even though she was mated to Liv’s and Lea’s father for more than 20 years she could never see him, she knew nothing about him, not even his name.
Liv chuckles, "I’ve seen too much, I saw 3 of them. Three."
"Did you feel a pull towards any of them?" Mel asked worriedly. Mates are supposed to feel a very strong pull towards each other at such a level that they crave and long for each other’s presence.
"Heck, I was so overwhelmed that I couldn’t feel much of a pull... I just felt a huge shock! Like freaking crazily huge!" Liv answers.
"I can imagine, sweetheart." Mel sighs, giving Liv a look of sympathy.
They reached the middle of the ball hall and Cali, a witch and Liv’s best friend, approaches her warily.
Mel looks at the girls and says: “I need to find Lea” before she leaves Liv and Cali and goes to look for her younger daughter.
Liv nods in response and turns to her wide-eyed best friend.
“What in the 6 Realms happened? You were chased by 3 Greek gods.” Cali asked.
“Yay lucky me!” Liv says sarcastically, still recovering from the insane revelation. Liv tells her what happened, and Cali looks even more shocked than herself.
"Holy Goddess! It means that you have 3 mates. I didn't know it was possible, I've never heard about it. That is crazy!"
"Yeah, crazy would be an understatement! I've never heard about this overcrowded mates' thingy either. I guess there is a first time for everything, but why does it have to happen with me? That I don't know! the Goddess should be joking, but well, I am not laughing." Liv answers.
