I couldn’t believe what had just happened, Max just walked out on me as if I never meant anything to him. He had just walked away from me even after I begged him to stay with me, it was as if my tears didn’t mean anything to me as if I was just another wolf begging for his mercy. Had he forgotten that I was his mate or had the mate bind suddenly disappeared? I wished I could also switch my feelings on and off like him so that I would cut both him and Michael off. I didn't like the fact that I was being looked at as the one who was causing all of this drama when none of it was my fault.
