After introducing Anaiah to the elders, I thought that my situation with her would change. I thought she would finally open up to me and realize that I really did want to be with her. I can’t really say that I was deeply in love with her, but I had decided that I would be willing to learn to love her. I was willing to turn my back on my old ways and be a good man to her. If only she would forget our past and look forward to the future that I was willing to give her.
