The Dragon Ancestor

In a few minutes everything was formed and soon the eyes also appeared after which Rin heard a voice too.

“Why...? Why have you come to my domain?”, the sound was too deep and it echoed throughout the barren desert even though there was nothing that could reflect the sound.

“This...”

Then suddenly Ryuk came out and bowed to him.

“This Young descendant greets the great ancestor.”, was what Ryuk said.

Rin couldn't understand what Ryuk wanted to do and didn't know anything about the ancestor about which Ryuk was speaking.

"Descendant? Hmm, there does seem to be some similarity.", the voice was deep and dominating. Every time it spoke, some pressure was being added but that had no effect on Rin.

He was standing carefreely while trying to figure out about the voice.

"Yes, I'm Ryuk and I was the 18th head of the Sibero family.", Ryuk said that with a proud tone.

Rin was shocked when he heard this. He was unaware of this. Though he was from other world, he had the memory of the host of this world so he somewhat knew about the Sibero family.

"Y-you are from the Sibero family?", Rin asked with a surprised expression for which Ryuk nodded his head immediately.

"Wow, you never told me about that.", it was not that he couldn't tell, he just didn't want to tell since that was not a good thing after all.

When he was the head, the Sibero family was the leading family of the kingdom, but after his death, slowly and steadily their power and influence started to decline.

But then again they had regained their fame and had somehow managed to become the 4th strongest family of the kingdom but Ryuk wasn't aware about the later part.

He only knew that the family had been declining since earlier after his death and because of that he never again tried to know about them.

The voice suddenly said in a louder voice, "You mean to say that you were the 18th head!? Which generation is going right now?"

Ryuk immediately said, "If I'm not wrong, the new head is supposed to be the 31st head which means the 32nd generation has started and is continuing..."

The voice seemed to fade away and all the mist that had been generated also disappeared.

Suddenly the water returned back into the small lake out of which a fine young lady appeared.

She had long bluish- white hairs that fluttered in the little gentle breeze that was blowing. She looked like a young loli who was stark naked and just walked out while the mist covered her small breasts and lower regions.

Rin immediately closed his eyes and gave a small clothing which he formed using his magic.

"Ryul, tell her to wear this...", he handed over to Ryuk who in turn closed his eyes and gave to her.

"Ah... you humans...", she immediately wore that and looked towards them.

Then she said, "Now you can open your eyes!"

Her voice had a drastic change. Before it was as if her voice was too deep and arrogant and right now it was like that of a young girl.

Both Rin and Ryuk finally opened their eyes.

"It's fine, you can rise up.", she said to Ryuk who had been bowing till now.

"But tell me one thing... who is he?", she looked towards Rin and asked the question for some reason.

"H-he is my master...", Ryuk replied almost instantly.

"Eh!!?", she was shocked when she heard this because that was unbelievable.

She looked at him again and suddenly changed her expressions.

"Hehe, I get it...", she did say that but in truth she couldn't see through Rin.

Rin wasn't able to understand what she was trying to tell so he didn't mind anything.

He just said, "Well Ryuk, was she the reason why you asked me to come here earlier?"

Ryuk nodded his head and agreed to what Rin said. He then looked towards her and said, "Dear ancestor, the real reason why I visited you today was to grant your special blessings on master..."

Rin thought that it wasn't a bad idea to gain a blessing from such a powerful being so he just smiled when she looked at him after hearing Ryuk.

Then suddenly she started laughing, "Hahaha, hahaha."

Ryuk and Rin continued to stare at her because they were puzzled by her laughter.

"You want me to bless him? Hahahaha!", she was laughing so much that tears started to run down from her eyes.

"Y-yes, is something wrong?", Ryuk asked cause he wasn't aware the true reason for this laughter.

"Yes! There is a big problem!", she exclaimed after ceasing her laughter.

Rin looked at her and asked, "Oh? And what might that problem be?"

He was intrigued by what she said because it wouldn't have taken much time to provide a simple blessing but it seemed as if there was something more to it.

"Well, my blessings will work only on those people or things that are weaker than me. If I try to do that to the stronger ones, then that wouldn't have any effect! In fact they wouldn't even want to have protection from a weaker being!"

Indirectly she wanted to say that Rin was stronger than her. Ryuk and Rin, both, understood what she meant but didn't know on what basis she said that.

Ryuk thought that a normal human being, no matter how strong he gets, would be still inferior to an ancestor who had become immortal, but it seemed as if that was not the case.

"Uhh... then can you do one thing dear dragon...", Rin wanted to ask something when suddenly Ryuk shouted.

"Haaaa!!!?", at the same time she too was shocked.

"Huh? What happened? Why are you both staring at me?", he failed to understand this sudden change of attitude.

The girl who was standing in front of him then asked while hesitating a bit and being nervous, "How did you know that I am a dragon!?"
