EMILY
“Before I forget,” Evan stops me before I can get into my car. I finally got it back after getting it fixed. That asshole cost me fifteen hundred dollars.
“Yes?”
He cages me against the door with his hands on both sides of me. “My sister, Courtney, and her husband are coming down next weekend for the triplets’ first birthday, and we’re throwing a party. They’re bringing all their friends, and their kids and my entire family will be there.”
“So you want me to scram, is that what you’re saying?”
He tickles my side, making me wiggle closer to him. “No, I want you to come with me. Introduce you to everyone.”
“I’ve already met most of your family,” I remind him.
“Yeah, but now I want to introduce you as my girlfriend.”
