I woke up to disembodied sounds around me, I could hear a slow beeping and hushed voices speaking. I slowly cracked my eyes open my mind hazy.
“You’re finally awake”, I heard a voice say and I looked up and saw a doctor and a nurse.
“Miss what is your name?”, the nurse asked.
“Lilly Dalton”, I answered still confused as to why I was in what looked like a hospital bed. I felt a sting on my arms and attempted to remove the IV line that went into my hand through the cannula.
“What am I doing here?”, I asked.
“Just relax”, the nurse said and stopped me.
“Do you remember what happened? He asked why pointing a small torch into my eyes.
“No”, I said and drew away from the intense light “Where is my son? Where are my parents and what am I doing here?”,
