Epilogue 2 Years Later “Beautiful,” my mom says, taking a step back to look at me in the mirror. My fingers play with the camera charm around my neck as I stare in the full-length mirror. My head feels light. I smooth out my wedding dress and then turn around to face the rest of the room. Emily clasps her hands together and looks as if she is going to cry. I shake my head. “Don’t! Or I’ll start crying.” “But you’re getting married!” Emily exclaims. “How can I not cry?” “I don’t want to mess up my make-up.” Emily laughs and comes over and crushes me in a hug. Mom is openly sobbing. “I am just so happy for you,” Mom says through a sob. “I know how hard you and Bennett have worked to get to this point and I am just so pleased. Your father would be so happy to know you are happy.” I
