Charles held still.The last time he saw her,she had worn her usual oversize outfits but now she dresses more like a girl or even what could be called a grown woman.Her hair had grown longer,long enough to touch her back.She had had short bobs on before he left home and she even wore makeup now.Charles who had only been gone for a year wondered who his stepsister was again.Elizabeth on the other hand was blatantly aware of his surprised stare.He had looked at her differently compared to how he looked at her three years since she moved into the Morgans family.Though she couldn’t place the look.How much time flies! Elizabeth broke the stare to focus her eyes on the natural stone flooring but her mind had traveled to when she first set foot on the stone floor.How different she had been.The cursed clumsy naive girl he had known her as. She still wondered how her parents end up together for her mother even to her is a big catch. Elizabeth who was fourteen then and also living off a rough life with her clumsy self felt a lot broken.Always bullied at school because of her round face and short legs.But then__life goes on. Her mother moved them to New York after the divorce stating an excuse of work needs but she had said to Lizzy one evening ‘I needed to breath in another air other than Pennsylvania’ more like she needed to be free from the thoughts of her ex-husband. Since they moved she changed schools.Her mother started a work in a big clothing company as a secretary for the CEO.Her new school as started off as a blessing to her until the day she accidentally spilled Hydrocholoric acid all over the floor in chemistry class.Ever since then,she once again became the target of bullies.She once got her hair tangled in a trap her bullies had set for her which resulted in her getting her hair cut off.She had wanted to hide it from her mom but scarlet found out and furiously stormed into the school hall to make an unforgettable scene in the school history.Ever since then,her bullies stopped.Nothing changes after then,she becomes non appearance in the school grounds.Her seat had always been in the corner,in class and in the cafeteria.But then___life moves on again,a shocking ‘move on’ though. Her mother managed to eye catch the eyes of the CEO of the company she works at and just within a year,they started a wedding plan. Her mother’s proposal had been on the papers tagging her mother as a ‘slutty secretary who seduces her boss into marrying her’.Lizzy knew her mother well enough to know she wouldn’t make a mistake twice so she wasn’t against it. Her father on the other hand had always got in touch with her after the divorce until a sunny and harsh day which is supposed to be her 15th birthday,her father faded into history of a car accident. Her mother’s reaction had been the most surprising to her.Scarlet had acted like nothing went wrong and that had made Lizzy angry which ended in a fight between the two.Out of anger that day,Lizzy had said to her mom ‘You are just what the society points you as’.The words had been hurtful but scarlet kept it in,if only she could know how heartbroken Scarlet was to hear the news of her past lover’s demise. Well Lizzy realized her words had been too harsh when she woke up in the middle of the night to hear the silent cries of her mother. Given to the situation,no wedding happened for the time being and her soon-to-be stepfather took a duty of coming often to check up on them. Though Lizzy doesn’t disapprove but she felt it’s unfair for her mother to see a man when her father had just left the world thus made a a little hesitant to be cool with Steve Morgan,her mother’s lover. But in time,she got used to him and on a snowy day,they moved into the St Morg’s mansion. Steve had brought them in in his BMW M3 wagon.When they had been driven into the compound,Lizzy knew she got driven into riches.Before their journey on the very day,she had took her time to google what the St Morg’s mansion looks like the day before.The gate was a mile from the mansion.The expansive grounds,featuring a sweeping driveway,manicured lawns and mature trees exuded an aura of exclusivity.Right in the middle sat a water fountain statue,a statue of an angel. The ride came to an end which resulted them in passing through on the stoop to the luxurious home that lay behind the closed doors. The moment she had set eyes on Charles Morgan,she knew a certain someone had been included in her life and now in the recent day,with the way he glued his eyes on her,she knew she has just been included in his life and this is the summer she becomes an adult..
