The sound of chirping birds roused Alisson from her rest. Henry was still asleep so she went through her morning routine quietly and tiptoed out of the room. The action of making breakfast for him seemed foolish to her, in light of everything that had happened. This time yesterday she was existing in a world where everything didn't revolve around him and today here she was, existing for him as if nothing had disrupted the routine. It was depressing. Henry left immediately after breakfast. Before he left he kissed her deeply and gave her a warm hug, holding her like he was frightened she would magically disappear.
