For those of you who are unaware of the warrior hierarchy, let me give you a little insight. Knights are trained from a young age in our world. I started at a very young age of six while other come in my eight or mostly ten. After basic years of schooling we are judged by our day to day skills, tests and other stuff which I don't really know and then you are eligible to sign up for the first Knightship, the Silver Knightship.
We are the most important of all though we are at the bottom. We are trained to protect unaware humans and live our lives mixed with humans, using minimum magic.
Then comes the Golden Knight, they are pros when it comes to war. Lethal, fast and strong, they are trained to protect the rich families, ministers, celebrities and all. If there is a war, they are the front liners and can take down enemies even before you can blink your eye.
And finally, the top most are the Diamond Knights. If you get to see one , you are lucky. They are more like hidden ninjas. Only guard the royals, seldom make appearances, good at camouflage. So if a Diamond Knight is sitting next to you in dominos, you might not even know him.
And then there are Knight Crushers. We haven't encountered those in like over hundred years but our books still tell us the tales of Knight crushers who were made to destroy and every kind of Knight.
So spare me the mocking looks when I say I was awestruck at my Armour. He was a Golden Knight at such a young age. That means he was well trained even for a war.
"What all weapons can you handle?" I asked him as we walked in the school corridors.
"Most of them."
"Wow, tell me two of them, which I might not know." I kept nagging him.
"Well then have you heard of morning star?" I shook my head in a no, "It is a weapon consisting of a spiked resembling a ."
"Can you teach me?"
"I am here to protect you, not tutor you." He added with a stern tone.
Please, dude, you can't sass the ice princess herself.
"I am allowing you to guard me else I will vanish right under your nose and you can loose your job so don't show me attitude."
"Your parents were right, you are a brat." I wanted to punch him right then but that was not possible.
"And you are a hypocrite, judging people without knowing their lives," I said and started walking faster.
He followed me with ease. My hands were tugged carefully inside my jacket pocket itching for action right now.
"Leave me alone for a while. When you have classified me as a brat, now let me act like one." I snapped at him and he stopped in my path.
I was about to walk in the class when I saw Jayden smiling at a girl who was clearly flirting with coy smiles and other obvious signs. He lifted her hands to his lips and pecked it making her giggling. I thought I would be angry or even jealous but all I felt was distressed as I looked at my hands.
My life was painfully silent till he came along. I got the notion that Jayden was about to look up so before he could notice me looking at him, I turned sharply suddenly deciding to ditch the class.

Luca says I am awfully brutal with a machete. Unlike a sword, it can chop off a head in single attempt. And right now I felt like chopping everything in my vision. For such situations, Luca has allowed me in the old , broken portion of the academy which was used to punish criminals.
It filled with armoured statues, just to let out my anger as I aggressively hit the metal.
So yeah right I was a brat. I was aloof and cold, I needed to be that. I couldn't afford to leave peacefully, I didn't deserve to live peacefully after I killed people. I shrieked letting out the pent up frustration.
"I can help you with hand to hand combat first." The sound of the Armour put me on alert.
I wanted to yell and ask him to leave me alone but I was no mood to make conversation. Without any prior notice he came to attack me and I defended myself with the machete in my hand. But he was too skilled and disarmed me, my anger getting better of me.
I saw his armed hand getting closer and I could have stopped him if I could use my hand directly. Instead, I just used them to shield myself. After a while, I put my hands down and saw a frown on Armour's face.
He closed in and I stepped back.
"What the hell?" I yelled but he stepped closer.
"I am testing a theory."
He kept coming closer and I kept walking back my hands forced into a tight fist. A shot of magic ran through my brain in a dire situation.
"GET AWAY!" I yelled in desperation and a strong wave to wind hit him.
He stumbled back but there was no shock on his face. I stumbled on the ground on my knees.
This time, my anger and desperation took a form of tears that fell down carelessly. I don't cry in front of others, not even my parents but I had no energy left to hide them right now.
"You are the cursed girl." He whispered as the realisation dawned upon him.
Now he might wonder why I need armour.
"You having bad dreams recently?" He asked and I nodded a slow yes.
His reaction was not what I suspected.
"How old are you?"
"Eighteen," I mumbled.
"And no one told you about the whole curse?" He said as if he saw that coming.
"And you know about my whole curse?" I was angry at Mr. Know it all.
"My grandmother is the one that developed your curse breaker."
I was silent all this while. That means he might know what I can do.
"You can resign from the job saying that I am too much trouble or something." I gave him the way out.
Few moments passed in silence and then he said , "This weekend we are going to my grandmother's place. She will give some relief from the nightmares and also will let you know that whole curse thing."
"And who said I was going to go?" I asked trying to hide my relief at his words which didn't hold fear or disgust for me.
"If you want me to train you then you are coming."
Apparently, I still had an Armour, another person who knows my dark secret and yet choose to stay.
