The atmosphere turned cold but my palms were sweaty. The anxiety was killing me but I finally stood up for myself. The step that should have been taken a long time ago but still, I am glad that I am becoming the winter queen I was meant to be.
Lucian’s laughter faded and his expressions darkened. He glared forcefully through his eyes, penetrating through me but I had no effect of his dreadful gaze on me. For a while, I saw him getting nervous because now he realised what has awakened inside of me. The way his pensive gaze fell on me, observing me for my move but I have different plans.
“I gave you a chance to attack me first, Lucian. Since this long, I have been in love with you, for the sake of my child and my kingdom, I am still figuratively asking you to attack me.”
