CHAPTER 3

Kate's POV

Oh my... this was definitely your nightmare coming to life, Emma and my Greek god or better yet Zane were really friends,” my subconscious yelled at me

how was this possible, i haven't seen him in over a month and now he is here and also Emma's friend to top it off," I asked myself as may unanswered questioned hovered around in my head making me unable to breathe

Never thought he could be friends with anyone, I thought he was antisocial or better yet disgusted by the thought of being friends with anyone

"Maybe he was hit on the head and brought here not out of his own free will and now there is no way of escape for him,” I thought to myself chuckling a bit

"Hey are you okay? " Emma asked as she noticed my worried look

"Yeah I'm fine," I reply tiring really hard to avoid any eye contact with the gorgeous boy sitting across from me

So what would you lovely people be having today, ” the beautiful waitress came up to us saying

OK so what would you like to get,” Emma's asked turning to me after looking down at her menu for quite some time

i'm not sure but I think I would have some... I was about to say after so much thought but I was interrupted by a deep male across from the table

She would have a small pepperoni pizza with chicken wings and a diet cola, "I heard the deep male voice telling the waitress as I looked up to see it was Zane who ordered for me

Consumed by confusion and also rage at the level of disrespect, I tried with all the power within me not to snap at him, but failed miserably

"I am more than able to manage my own food order, and you don't really know me to be ordering my meals, "I yelled angrily staring at him with my most deadliest glare as i tried to ignore the intense look brewing in his eyes

But he didn't say a word as he just stared at me for a few seconds and went back to sipping his drink like my words or anger didn't matter to him

"Oh no... how dare he ignore me again, if only looks could kill he would be as good as dead," I said to myself as i shifted my attention back to the rest of the people at the table

A few minutes later the food arrived and everybody started eating their food except for me

"I didn't want to give him the benefit of having the upper hand in this situation

"Girl," why aren't you eating, Cali the girl with the pink hair highlights asked me

Nothing really i'm not that hungry anymore," I said still burning my eye through Zane as the anger churned deep inside me expecting him to notice but he kept on ignoring me

"Kate, you can have mine," Josh the guy with the brown hair offered out of the blue

"Knowing fully well I was starving I accepted his food without hesitation, which immediately put a smile on Josh's face

For some reason, I could see Zane's tense up as I smirked moving closer to Josh.

So are you all on the football team," I asked Josh as I noticed him wearing the school football hand band

No not all of us, as you know the girls are in the cheer squad, and Danny, christian and I are on the football team, " Josh answered smiling back at me

"So Zane is not part of the football team then what does he do and why are they friends with his arrogant ass, since he is not on the team as they were," I silently asked myself

"Zane paints,' Josh said as if he knew what was going on in my mind.

"Most of the painting in the school hallway, in the art museum and the counselor's office, are all Zane's works," josh added still with that smile on his face

Cool, "that's was all I could say as i tried my best not to look up at Zane as i could still feel his eyes on me

"You know never in a thousand years would I had thought those beautiful painting in the hallway were done by him," i said to myself as i picked on my food nervously

"You should totally come to our game next Saturday," Danny the guy with a weird blonde hair blurted out

"it would be fun trust me, and you would get to see us beat the panthers live ," Danny said smiling obviously full of confidence

Sure why not, I will definitely be there," I smiled back at him

"OK people, i know we are having fun but it's getting late we should all be heading out," Emma said out of nowhere

"And girl, I'm sorry I can't drop you off at home, my brother needs the car urgently, so I'm guessing you would have to take a ride with one of these sweet boys,” Emma said pointing around in each of their direction

Fine, I can drop her off, that's not a problem, "I heard Zane say as he stood up putting on his leather jacket

"Yes thank you Zane, make sure she gets home safe ', Emma said jumping up and down happily

Are you f*****g kidding me?Emma you can't do this to me, "I whispered out to her as i pulled her by the arm to the corner

I can't ride with that douche bag Zane..... I can't stand his sorry ass and you want me to ride with him all the way home, "I screamed out

Babe relax, Zane is not that bad he might be annoying sometimes but he is a great person, you just have to get to know him," she said rubbing circles on my arm to calm me down

Are we leaving or not, I heard Zane yell towards us

Taking in a deep breathe i started walking towards the exit slowly, internally praying to the universe not to kill him with my own bare hands before getting to my house

Trying so hard to breath as i was desperately looking for that much needed air that would enable me to calm myself down, as i reassured myself that it was just a car ride with Mr douche and it wouldn't be that bad

i wouldn't just have to say anything and i will get home much faster," I mentally prepared myself

I waved to the others and entered Zane's car, it was a Range Rover discovery, I'm sure it is an expensive car ,the interior was to die for ,his parents must be a billionaire." I thought to myself

Soon enough Zane entered the car and zoomed off

The car ride was as awkward as expected," no one said a word, as we just drove in absolute silence

Looking through the window, I counted the houses and streets as they passed by, as I waited patiently for this nightmare of a ride to be over

"Hey, I'm sorry!! Zane blurted out of the blue

I looked at him unsure if he was talking to me, still with a shocked expression on my face as I tried to see where he was going with all this

"I'm sorry about tonight," he blurted out again

I really didn't know what to make of his apology

As I was about to reply , the car suddenly came to a stop

Looking out of the window to see I was already at my house, i turned back to continue whatever it was that was happening with Zane, but all of a sudden he said something that I didn't really expect

"Get out of my car, Kate!! He barked suddenly

"What? i asked quite shocked

''Out now,'' he let out again

"I stepped out of the car dumbstruck as to the change in his behaviour as the car speed off immediately into the dark
