Procession Of The King With the first part of the mummification of the Pharaoh complete, Ani and the other Blessed turn their attention to the second part, with Ani taking shifts watching over the Pharaoh"s mummified body while continuing to work in the animal mortuary with the other Blessed under 30. She continues to build a bond with Hotep, the apprentice Khafre had before her, and getting cryptic advice from Khafre who is enjoying watching her flourish leading the animal mummifications. She impresses Hapiu, the youngest of the Cairo Blessed, by acknowledging that he might have more experience than she did when a lion arrives in the mortuary, and manages to avert disaster by getting Hotep to switch Nik onto a team struggling with cat mummifications.
