I lead Em to the kitchen with Lucas following behind. We sit down and I invite Laura as well to join, but she politely declined. I start shoveling food into my mouth and glance up to see Lucas and Emily looking at me admiringly. Could this be anymore awkward?
"So, Em. I want to thank you for helping me with everything these last few weeks. I will be leaving your house soon, as I have decided to move in with Lucas."
"WHAT?!" She shouts as she stands from her seat, clearly outraged.
