Chapter Ten
EMILY
After ten days of working nonstop, I finally have a day off.
Thank God.
Working side by side with a man who makes me loathe his very existence has made for very long days. I’m still technically training with him, and though I don’t need to be watched, he’s still treating me like I’m about to light the place on fire.
But it doesn’t matter because I have the day off, and I plan to soak in the tub, catch up on my DVR, and drink wine until I pass out.
Evan is also off since I’m working on his rotation schedule, but I highly doubt he’ll have as much fun as me.
Sleeping in till ten has me feeling like I’m on cloud nine. You know you’ve crossed the line from adolescence to adulthood when six straight hours of sleep feels like winning the lottery. Step one on my day off is
