Around three hours after crawling back into bed Nathan was awake again. He felt far more awake than he would have expected given his lack of sleep as he threw back the covers and got up.
“Have you got a flight today?” he asked of his sister when he found April in the kitchen, it wasn’t like her to be up before eight when she wasn’t scheduled to fly.
“Uh huh.” April’s response was indistinct as she chewed on a yolk covered soldier. Swallowing, so she could speak more clearly, she said, “Yes, I’m on the Bern run till next weekend, I’m flying out at eleven, then back this evening on the seven o’clock. I’ve got a couple of days off after that before switching to the New York run for a bit.”
