The second time they visited the Powers’ house, Nathan and Georgie found Richard Powers at home. Nathan was relieved by that, he trusted Louisa to keep her word and do nothing with the information she had until he confirmed that Jane Doe’s family had been notified; he wasn’t naive enough, however, to believe that she was the only journalist to stumble on the story. The odds were high that the story would get out soon, with no consideration given to the girl’s family.
“Mr Powers?” Nathan said when the front door was opened. The man before him bore a definite similarity to Patrick Powers, though he was a little slimmer, clean-shaven, going grey with a receding hairline, and better dressed.
