THE MISSING WEAPON did indeed seem to be temporarily forgotten in the new crisis. The senior Council management held a private conference in their staff office, staying mum about what the emergency was, while Carrie and Dave, along with the other trainees, were given the task of catching Gavin and Errruorerrrrrhch’s escaped children. The insectoid kids had quickly figured out the pheromone keys to every door on the ship, and they had spread everywhere.
