Chapter 23: Civil War

Almost Two Years Later

King Jasper

Things have heated up since Roman became the Rogue King, Roman completely lost his mind and went off the grid, he found out his son wasn't his son. He also found out that his former best friends are back and they are superior beings known as the Supremes. Aidan has a hit out for him because he tried to kill Lily after she had given birth to their second son, Prince Kyvar, Kyan was Aidan's son all along and Elijah had suspected it because that boy had more brain than his 'father.' Aidan has two mates now Lily and Michelle and it would seem all Supremes will have two mates. I have two mates so I know it can be fun once done right, since Roman's departure, King Kyan was crowned because of a challenge, we all attended when everything was revealed and word spread throughout Ravena that the Supremes were back but Aidan was keeping his announcement until we deal with Roman.

We were in a meeting talking about a few vampires that were attacked and we had ordered everyone into their panic rooms in their homes. Marion had protection barriers on the small villages and Piot was helping with preparing our men for a fight that was heading towards us. Piot had to be disguised as well as we captured a rogue who was looking to kill Piot to get at Elijah, I figured it was personal but I need not worry about it. Marie was making sure the workers and all the kids were safe in the Palace, Mina crossed over to the human territory to be with Amara. We had a small breach when Piot ran out with Eli to see what was going on, the Elders were not fighting with us, we sent them into the bunker with the other vulnerable people. Elijah walked out with his sword and gun saying, "Wish me luck," jumping out to the balcony to the ground and I smiled taking my gun and joining him.

After our security breach, Kolie was in Elivira on business and wanted to make sure his mate and family were safe before I confirmed that they were. Elijah left to assist Aidan after we had an earlier attack with the rogues, it seems Roman was trying to keep us separated. We were still on high alert, some of our warriors accompanied Elijah but we still had one of the biggest armies alongside the Elves. My Queen was handling the injured but we made sure our palace walls were not breached, we eventually heard an alarm, it was the second attack with more rogues than the last time. This included some rogue vampires and shifters and I was not happy about that, I had my armor on before Marie walked in wearing her armor and said, "I'm joining you." I looked at her wanting to say no but she was not having it, so I said, "Stay by my side," before kissing her and we jumped from our balcony and ran towards where the battle was happening.

Prince Eli was already in battle, always ready to kill just like his father, my daughters were helping those who needed help in the hospital. We started fighting the rogues and we were winning and I could have sworn that I saw Roman but the shadow disappeared. King Emile opened a portal dropping Elves off before winking at me and disappearing back through the portal, the Elves were not having it. They were well-trained swordsmen and they did not hesitate in the killing, I watched my wife moving so swiftly on her feet as she sliced and diced wolves. Wolf bites were deadly to vampires and vampire bites are deadly to wolves but we had an antidote waiting for our injured it takes at least forty-eight hours before their venom kills us. However, a low-level wolf bite won't kill Elijah, me, or Marie as we are hierarchy. I don't think it would take out Piot or Kolie either but we were not taking chances with them.

The Supreme Three venom, however, is deadly to everyone and only their blood is the antidote, so I really wouldn't piss them off. The last of the rogues were killed and the bodies were burnt, our men who needed the antidote went to the hospital, Elves were silent but peaceful species unless you piss them off. I walked back to the Palace when Elijah linked me to join him before I hitched a ride with Queen Marion who opened a portal. I walked into a very large battlefield where all species were at war with Roman's rogues, some had changed into hybrids and looked sickly. Elijah was killing everything in sight with Piot and Kolie at his side, I linked Piot saying, "Were you not to protect the castle in our absences?" He smiled and said, "The women got it covered," and I took out my gun because swords were boring and headed into the fight, in the end, I was kissing my mate in victory.

Emile

We just had an emergency meeting with Queen Marion and Aidan before all hell broke loose, I was monitoring the start of the war as my second in command was getting the troops ready. General Kolie from Elijah's territory and second-in-command were here to assist in battle as promised as he was in our Kingdom on business. We watched as three Kingdoms were attacked at the same time, I ordered men to be delivered to Aidan's pack and I dropped in on the Fae Kingdom delivering men to help contain the war that was happening. The Fae Kingdom wasn't far from us so it was not hard to reach them on time for those traveling by horse, cars, SUVs, and trucks, and most others walked through a portal I opened.

After getting some interesting news from my mother, I headed to Frogger Forest to see Roman's demised firsthand, Levi stayed back but Jared came with me. Levi had a daughter to worry about, and although I hadn't spoken to my son in years, I made sure he was protected. I watched Roman being killed and I felt relieved because now things would prosper again in Ravena, Aidan announced who they were and that they were back in power. We all knelt in solidarity, even the rogues now prisoners accepting our new and final leaders of Ravena. History was made today and it will live on forever as long as Ravena exists, we will learn from our mistakes with Roman and I got a link from Aidan to join him back at the Palace.

Samuel

I was about to put my son Connor to sleep after I visited Connie, she had my son a few months back and I had to track her down because she never told me. She wanted a different life for Connor and I agreed to stay away until he was old enough because he would start to get his powers at fifteen. I got a link from my sister, Dawnique because I left her in charge in my absence, she let me know about the Supremes being in battle and I headed over there in disguise to see my old friends shut s**t down. Normally, my demons are not allowed to be in Ravena's matters, an old treaty of long ago that never expires, only updates and since the boys are back, it's time for an update. Kiev still had it in him, he commanded respect without asking and I killed a few rogues who took it upon themselves to attack although I was not really into fighting.

I kept focus on the brothers, Rusev was still ruthless in his killings, and Klaus, the saner one until you pissed him off, then there is Davien, the trickster when it comes to magic, "Oh, how I missed the rascals," I thought. After Roman's death, Balthazar appeared and I said, "Go get our prisoner," Roman tried to run after seeing his body burning because he recognized Balthazar. I love it when the wicked try to run from us, all my other prison guards show up to collect, the living won't see it happen as the screams of them being dragged to the underworld were painful, the look on their faces when realizing where they were going. Devon showed up and smiled saying, "You love having all the fun," and I turned to him saying, "We will meet the new leaders soon enough, go help Balthazar track down the fugitive, he is on the run, he is our prized possession and a favor to someone special," he bowed before taking to the skies.

I watched King Aidan announce his return and that the Supremes were back in power, I knelt with the others because their pull was strong as they released their aura on us. I headed back to the underworld as we had a lot of prisoners who will be admitted today, Dawn looked at me and asked, "Did you see that asshole?" I replied with a smirk on my face, "Yes, why are you still sleeping with him again?" She looked at me saying, "He is good in bed, keeping me satisfied," winking her eyes at me and I blocked my ears saying, "I don't need to hear that," kissing her cheek. I loved my sister but she was feisty and the only one who risked putting me in my place when it was called for. I sat down on my throne when she asked, "How is my nephew?" I said, "Adorable, he will be with us in due time," before she left to do what she does best, be a boss.
